Stuttering and frozen images - uVerse

For some time we've been having stuttering and frozen images causing loss of audio and continuity. This is seeming to be getting worse.

Is anyone else in the Knoxville, TN area experiencing this?

We do not want fiber, we just want what we paid for, reliable and trouble free service.

Have you tried troubleshooting your U-verse receiver by resetting it? Does this only happen at a certain time of the day? Since the TV service runs off the internet gateway, have you tried resetting that as well? You may also benefit from reading through the TV Troubleshooting forum post we've written.

Over the course of the issue the receive has been reset. There was even an update that forced a reset.

We have watched shows now from streaming sources like Netflex and Amazon Prime. They did not show the stuttering issue. Only live or recorded content from the uVerse box.

My thinking is the uVerse box has gone bad. This also makes sense because AT&T's online diagnostic tool, which can reach out and test both the AT&T router and the uVerse box, indicated there was an issue which required an onsite technician.
