the Silver Cable box for my universe TV is not working

the universe TV silver box  green light started blinking along with the red light and blue light  at the same time, it did this for about fifteen minutes and stopped working' I disconnected the power cord and let it stayed off for some hours, and plugged up again, but it will not come back on. What is the problem?

Those silver models are pretty old now.  Maybe it died of "old age".  Man Happy  Call tech support (800-288-2020) for a replacement.

I'm surprised the silver ones still even work. A few years ago, my silver ones started acting very slowly when a update to the user interface was pushed out.

 

A tech replaced my silver ones with newer models and everything works smoothly and quickly.

 

Still, call (800) 288-2020 and ask for a free replacement. You can also ask about ways to save money off your bill.

 

If the DVR is black, nothing to worry about. If the DVR is silver and still working, put it on a secondary TV you don't use as much. The downside is that it'll take a couple extra seconds to pause, but the menus on the black boxes work so much faster.

LOL, I can't help but laugh.....we have 6 STB's and ALL of them are the silver ones.......Actually had a couple go bad about a year and a half ago and they sent me silver ones as replacements, haha.....I guess I just need to keep my fingers crossed that they all keep working.
