TV apps not working with uverse

Hello,
I cannot watch my Showtime Anytime or NBC Sports apps on my xBox 360, iPhone, or iPad Air.
When I try to watch something on any of these apps on any of these platforms, I get an error message that says I do not have a Uverse subscription. But I do! On ShowtimeAnytime.com, for example, it won't even let me login to my SHowtime account (which I've created before). Instead, it gives me the error message that my Uverse account does not have a Showtime subscription. But I do!!!!
This has been happening for several weeks and I am very frustrated.

Hi @gtskiff,

I apologize about the issues you are having with accessing showtime anytime, but I will be glad to help. Try to login at uverse.com and accessing the showtime content there. If you are still having problems, let us know, and there may be an issue with your account profile.

What device are you trying to use?  If on your home network, the service will usually recognize you. If off home network, you'll need to provide userid and password.   The following link may help.

Hello Community,

Hey there, let’s see if we can get your TV Apps working again!

In order to stream content from Uverse.com or Apps like HBO or ESPN using your U-verse TV service as your provider, you must be subscribed to U-verse TV and have the corresponding package.

If you are having issues logging into any third party applications associated with your U-verse TV service, we first suggest making sure you are logging in using your Primary Member ID. If you are unsure of what this ID is, we suggest checking for it by using these steps to find your ID in myAT&T.

If you are able to login on one of the websites that allow access with U-verse subscriptions, but are still unable to login on the website, we suggest checking our article about solutions for applications not working.

If you aren't able to login on U-verse subscription websites, we suggest trying another browser, as well as clearing your cache and cookies.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes!

Thanks for the response, David.

I was able to access Showtime content via uverse.com, so I tried again
using my ShowtimeAnytime app on my xBox360. When I was issued an activation
code, I was able to enter it on showtimeanytime.com without faliing into
the vicious cycle of "you do not have a subscription" error messages when
trying to activate. Thankfully, I can now link my xBox360 to my account
(again) and view Showtime content on my xBox360 ShowtimeAnytime app (again).

However, the issue I iniatially raised is still occurring with the NBC
Live Sports Extra app for my iPad. When I open the app and log-in, if I
choose some live content to watch, I am asked to identify my service
provider. When I choose ATT Uverse, I receive an error message that
says: "We're sorry. It looks like you are not a subscriber to this
channel. Please contact your provider." However, my account does have the
extra sports package, so I should be able to view this content. I tried
your trick to view the content at uverse.com (which worked, but you only
get to watch the one network channel of live TV, not the "extras"). I tried
deleting/re-downloading the app, but that didn't work. Getting frustrated!
Please help!

Thanks.

Do you run into the same problem when you use the mobile app on your cell phone?

Yes. When I open the NBC Spots Live Extra app on my iPhone, when I select
some content to watch I am asked to choose my provider. I select ATT
Uverse and before I can login, I am given an authentication error message
that says I am not a subscriber. Vicious cycle again. I've also tried
uninstalling/reinstalling the app.

Hi Lwmhc4,

Try changing the password for your Member ID by visiting Forgot User ID / Password. After your password is changed, please try signing on to the app you are having issues with again. If you continue to experience issues signing on, send us a private message by clicking here. Please include the Account number, Member ID you are having difficulties with, and some contact details to be able to authenticate your account.

Same issues with my account. "Not authorized user error" message on apps my uverse package qualifies for.

I'm having the same issue after moving. No 3rd party TV apps will work. The all say not authorized to view this channel. I've reset my art password and that did nothing.

I'm a U-200 subscriber, I get all of the ESPN channels on u-verse, and also BTN, NBCSN, etc..  I recently upgraded from Internet U-verse only to U-200 and Internet, switching from DirecTV.  Unfortunately, when I try to use TV network apps on my iPhone and iPad (like ABC, Watch ESPN, NBC Sports Live Extra, Fox, BTN2Go, etc), after selecting ATT  U-verse as my participating TV provider and entering my U-verse credentials, I just get the User Not Authorized error from every single app.  Does anyone know how to fix this?  I don't have time to spend an hour on hold waiting for tech support, and I am about to switch back to another provider after only three days with U-verse.

Examples of errors:

NBC Sports Live Extra: "We're Sorry it looks like you're not a subscriber to this channel. Please contact you're provider."

ABC: "Error code:400-1. Unfortunately, you cannot access this content. Please contact your TV provider for further assistance."

BTN2Go: "User is not authroized to this content."

Watch ESPN: "Unable to play video. You are not authorized to play this content. Please contact your provider."

Can someone please help or let me know what I need to tell the techs so they can fix it for me??? I talked with three techs and no one can seem to help me.
