U Verse App for Fire stick

There was a recent update to the app earlier this month; make sure you have the latest version by ensuring auto-updates on are.

• Home menu > Settings > Applications > Appstore > Automatic Updates, make sure toggled “ON”

Then there are a couple of common solutions you can try:

1. Clear app cache and data
2. Remove and reinstall the app
3. Restart your Firestick

If these steps do not help resolve the issue, we have a few questions about what you’re experiencing:

• Do any other apps have a similar issue?
• Is there a specific message you get when you’re trying to load the app?
• Have you tried the Uverse app on another device such as a smartphone or tablet?

What do you mean by "recognize the app"?  Did they pass on the street and give the cold shoulder?  Any messages or unexpected responses you could share?
