Uverse and Roku
I am getting extremely frustrated with Uverse. I have a Roku device which works fine. I used to watch HBOgo on that device until last spring. It suddenly stopped connecting me. Every time I go through the tedious activation process, I am told that I "apparently" don't have a subscription to HBO. I have U450 service which obviously includes HBO. I have called uverse tech support many times in the past year to resolve this to no avail. At first, I was told it was a Uverse problem that was being worked on. That's why I only called every two months or so. Now tech support says call Roku support because it's obviously "their" problem. Roku told me to uninstall the HBOgo channel, reboot, reinstall and try again. Once again, NADA!
Has anyone else had a similar experience? Was it resolved? How?

First, make sure you can get to HBO Go from a PC or Mac. If you can do that, then you're stuck with troubleshooting the Roku. If the PC/Mac doesn't work with an authentication problem, then you can work with AT&T and they won't be able to blame Roku.
If you do have the authentication problem with the PC/Mac, then click this U-verse Customer Service link to send a Private Message (PM) to the AT&T customer service team to help you resolve your HBOgo authentication issue. You can expect a reply via return PM (the blue envelope in the upper right hand corner of this site, next to your name and avatar) in a business day or three.
This is a group of U-verse service specialists who are knowledgeable about U-verse and will stay with your problem until the end (instead of forgetting about it when the phone hits the cradle). Speed things up by including your Billing Account Number, and the best time and way to reach you.

Did this ever get resolved for you? I just bought a roku and am having the same issue with every paid subscription channel. Uverse tells me to call roku and roku tells me to call uverse. I'm pretty confident its a uverse issue I couldn't access HBO from the Web before when I had that channel.
