U-Verse app & Live TV

So I have downloaded the Uverse app to my Android smart phone but when I try and watch live TV it says I need to set parental controls from the main account.  I am the main account but even at so when I go into setting and parental controls the app ends up with an error and closes and re-opens.  This happens over and over.  I found out it won't even let me watch on demand shows! Talk about frustrating.
