U-Verse APP Restrictions
Have several issues but, will focus on this first.
Returned to AT&T U-verse / internet because the sales people in the store assured me things were much better.
Installed the U-verse app on phone and tablet.
First thing I found as that it is very restrictive when you are not at home.
Many channels are not available. To some extent I can understand the reasoning of this annoying philosophy BUT...
When I'm at home, On AT&T's wifi, in a room that doesn't have a TV like the kitchen, basement, second bedroom or even on the deck in the backyard...
Why am I prevented from being able to watch ANY local channels?
The app will allow you to watch on Living Room or Bed Room TV or set to record a show.
But, it prevents you from watching content that I am paying a significant monthly fee to access.
We are living in a time where you can watch what you want, where you want to watch it, when it is convenient to watch it.
Could someone respond if this archaic practice is on someone's punch list to be worked on?
I work in a corporate setting and an familiar with the mental process of a collective mentality.
If one person / customer complains they are pacified. If a significant number or customers complain lower management might notice.
And IF a significant number of people complain then upper management usually pays attention and sometime fixes the problem.
IF enough people like this post and possibly agree with me, AT&T might fix the issue.
Hint: A competitor will allow you to watch any channel on any device including a laptop as long as you are at Home 🙂
