Uverse App Will Not Allow Live TV...crashes
I and several of my friends are having trouble accessing LiveTV with the Uverse app, a problem that only started since your last app update 2-3 months ago. We can access On Demand, but no more Live broadcasting...as soon as we select "Live" a black square message appears that says, "Unfortunately, ATT-Uverse has stopped".
The common denominator is that we all have android 4.4.2 versions (Samsung). My Samsung phone however, 6.0.1, has no problems accessing both Live and On Demand.
Please....it appears that your last app update has left 4.4.2 Android users out in the cold. We can't afford to buy new tablets, especially when every other streaming service we have apps for (i.e. Hulu, Netflix, Amazon, and countless other individual networks like AMC, FX, ABC and so on) work perfectly. In fact, my sister has the same tablet as I and is able to access LiveTV thru her Xfinity app just fine.
Trust me, it would be a lot cheaper for us to change cable providers than to buy a new tablet. You advertise that customers can watch live TV from their hand-held devices so make good on this. Hope to hear from someone soon as this has gone on far too long already.

By resetting device, do you mean back to factory settings? That is not an option, for me or my other friends experiencing the same problem ONLY WITH YOUR APP!!!! It's too time consuming, irritating to lose data, and there's no guarantee that will even work. Been there before with other issues...seems that's everybody's cure all, and it never works.
Look...you folks updated your app....the app now doesn't work correctly on 4.4.2 Androids since that update...we have uninstalled and reinstalled at least a half dozen times to no avail, and have done everything on your troubleshooting list except the aforementioned 'reset'. Seems the onus is on ATT to provide another update at least that will rectify this problem with 4.4.2 users, instead of blowing us off by suggesting we reset our devices.
Won't you even consider that the problem is with your app and not our devices??!!

We are testing with personal android devices here. Is this happening on specific channels? Also, are you within the same network and using the same account? How far into the stream does the interruption begin?

Maybe I'll get a second or two of stream before the " Unfortunately, AT&T U-verse has stopped" pops up, but most times it occurs as soon as I click on the Live TV icon and the loading video circle starts.....then on crashes.
I don't know what you mean by "being within the same network using the same account."

I see lots of other posts on this forum from others with the same issues....most seeming to have occurred after your last update.

This happens when the new clickable commercials that you have added to the app start playing. The live stream immediately freezes at the start of the ad. As if we needed clickable ads, aren't there enough already.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 with Android version 10 (Knox 3.4.1) and I similar issues. I cannot get local SD or HD channels (100-999 SD, 1000-1099 HD) on live TV. In addition the guide will only display Starz channels (SD and HD). Additionally only some channels show up On Demand and my On Demand Watch List is empty.
