hope in the future they will make it available in the cloud
The only way that is likely to happen is if by forcing you from U-verse TV to DIRECTV Internet. U-verse TV's days are numbered, we just don't know how many digits that number has in it. It's probably 3, possibly 4. Doubtful that it's 1 or 2. 5 is right out.
That's probably why I am experiencing the problems with my wired receiver. I have to reboot several times in the month. Mostly, when a statement is dropped and they receive my payment. :o(
Thanks! An ethernet cable is running from receiver to wifi gateway. I call monthly and they trouble shoot but the issue is the same. I have to unplug and plug the receiver to watch my recorded shows and programs on this tv which has the wired receiver. My other TV has a wireless receiver and I can watch other programs except the recordings from dvr because it says its not connected. I think the receiver is bad because the button gets stuck and won't let me restart unless I unplug it from the back.

You can't. Recordings are stored on your DVR's hard drive not in cloud like with DTV stream service.

Thanks, that makes sense. I hope in the future they will make it available in the cloud. ;0)

Those two things are entirely unrelated. Are you running coax or ethernet? Ethernet is highly recommended.
Have you had a tech out? What was recommended?

What about the gateway to the DVR itself? Ethernet or coax?
You may want to replace that receiver with the faulty button. It sounds like that won't fix much, but you never know.

Ethernet.
Thanks! This helps a lot. I will get in touch with them.
