U-verse iPad app uvm 996

The u-verse iPad app was working ok but now I get error message uvm 996 when I try to watch a live show. iPad and app are both the most current versions and I have tried reinstalling app. Nothing is helping.

You can:

Clear the data for the app
Delete and reinstall the app
Restart the device
Restart the gateway on your network

These suggestions will help refresh your network, and they will refresh the app itself as there may be something affecting to operate properly.

If this does not help, we have some questions to clarify more information:

Does this happen on every channel? We need to know so that we can troubleshoot correctly?
Are you watching these shows on your home network? There may be an instance where the app will not let you watch some shows off of it.
