Primarily on ME TV channel the picture jumps during the afternoon and evenings.

Unplug everything.
Plug the gateway and WAP back in.
Wait for normal operations.
Plug the DVR back in.
Plug the receivers back in.
If it's still problematic, consider swapping coax cable for ethernet.
If it's still problematic, or if ethernet isn't an option, call 800-288-2020 and ask for technical support.
Unplugging solves a lot.
Ethernet solves more, although is obviously a lot trickier than a simple reboot.
