Which piece of technology is it? I'd do the following:
Unplug everything.
Plug the gateway back in and wait for normal operations.
Plug the WAP back in and wait for normal operations.
Plug the DVR back in and wait for normal operations.
Plug the other receivers back in and wait for normal operations.
When you're plugging everything back in, make sure *all* connections are tight. Sometimes something innocent, like a pet, can accidentally loosen a wire.
If that doesn't work, call 800-288-2020 during weekday hours. You may need a tech visit or replacement equipment sent. They'll give you all the instructions to send the old stuff back. If it's the DVR, you'll lose saved recordings and settings, but not the schedule.
Unfortunately, we did all of that. Also, we received a new gateway in early April - which is worse than the previous gateway. Will call tomorrow, but do not expect any help to fix the problem. The last time I worked with ATT chat, phone support, and onsite support, it was worthless and was charged $75 for ATT to resolve a problem they caused.

The "account" doesn't reboot.
