U-verse RG 3801HGV Everything running over CAT-V - HD channels started dropping after 15 seconds
I have most information in the title, but here is the gist:
U-verse RG - 3801HGV
Boxes - VIP-1225
Everything is running over my internal network. I have the main line (home run) coming into the RG which is a coax run. From there, I have 2 ports running to two different switches.
Switch 1 has 5 ports, all of which run to 5 different TVs.
Switch 2 has 5 ports that run to 5 different rooms in the house, 2 of which have 5 port switches on them for computer devices, gaming stations, printers, etc.
Basically, I tried to seperate the traffic into data/iptv. Everything has seemed fine until recently, the primary television will drop HD channels. This only happens on HD and only happens after 15 seconds. You can set a timer to it. The channel is perfect for 15 seconds and then pixelates and freezes. If I change the channel up and back down or to a different channel, the same thing. It is fine for 15 seconds and then pixelates. I can view SD channels fine.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what I could do to remedy this?
Thanks,
Brian

Thanks for the advice. I haven't traded boxes yet. I had a similar problem in the past, but it "auto-corrected" after a few days. Service tech came out and didn't know what to do since it was all running through the network. (I would think a service tech would be trained on networking and routing)
I followed you up until the last step. Are you suggesting leaving everything running on CAT-V as it is now, and simply replacing the line from the box outside to the RG, currently coax, with a CAT-V run? I just wanted to make sure.
