They probably figured they could rent more boxes if customers couldn't watch on their computer. Some of these large corporations haven't figured out you don't take away features to make a few extra bucks when everyone is cutting the cord. I think I will check out Slingbox too. I would love to say goodbye to AT&T.

Too much money is spent for you a customer not to able to watch programs from the laptop. Comcast, heck even spectrum has this option. This company has lost their minds!!!!

Some of us don't have smartphones or tablets. I used the uverse guide to set up programs when I'm away from home. This was a great feature and I used it a lot. ATT is not impressing me with taking away services that people use. I don't remember being asked or polled on whether or not I used the service. A lot of people are unplugging from dish and cable, so ATT needs to remember the people who are still using their service. I may be unplugging soon or going back to Charter/Spectrum. #ATTNOSERVICE

My main use of Uverse.com was to program the DVR when away from the cable box and away from my iOS devices. I seldom watch U-verse on my computer. So thank you for the reelgood.com suggestion, I see that it is a beta service that just started this past summer, but it doesn’t help with my main problem.
Of course, this is not a biggie for me personally, but I feel this was really poorly handled by AT&T, and that there are obviously a percentage of customers who are adversely affected.
I also recently had a problem with accessing U-verse content on my IOS devices, and the only way the CSR could troubleshoot it was to compare it to what I could access on the browser.

I have been a customer of ATT since 1965 and I would like to add my voice to the many complaints coming in about not being able to use my computer to view my guide and set up my scheduling. I, too, am an older customer who has no interest in apps, smart phones, etc. I just want to be able to schedule programs in advance so that I won't miss some of my favorites. I only view programs on my tv-I don't use the computer to watch programs. Please give us back our scheduling guide!

I do not have an iPhone or any other smart phone. I do not have an ipad or any other tablet. I am sorry I can no longer stream u-verse TV but why did you take away the TV listings. It was very nice to be able to see what was on. I could check the TV listings on line. I could choose what to record.
Now the AT&T website is all about sell, sell, sell. I already bought the bundle I wanted and have been paying for it for four years.
To the administrator who said, “You can also go here to view the channel lineup.” That is not a listing of what is on TV, it is a list of channels offered for various packages you are trying to sell. No help at all about what is on TV tonight.
When you advertise on TV, online and everywhere else you should make it clear AT&T has nothing for anyone who only has a desktop or laptop computer. You will not even provide on line TV listings.

The 3 AT&T reps I spoke to gave me no hope of a similar page ever being put back online. None!

I too am a long time ATT customer. Between my landline, cell phones and U-Verse, I give ATT about $5000.00 a year- JUST FOR MY RESIDENTIAL SERVICES. Seriously, it is over $415.00 a month.
How about a Windows App? I use my Windows laptop as an integral component of my home entertainment experience. The U-Verse portal was key to that experience. The channel guide and DVR management are key. There are already too few features differentiating ATT from their competition, and now there is one (or more) less. Not cool.
Spectrum has been doggedly trying to get my business , and now they are one step closer to succeeding. They offer download speeds FAR greater than ATT does over a much broader market. They offer a similar channel lineup. Sprint wants my cellular budget (I am not under contract).
The link provided is of no use to me. It is a channel line up, not a guide. Again, not cool. I have already purchased the package I want, and do not appreciate the link to a page trying to sell me packages.
I remember hearing that U-Verse was on it's way out because of the Direct TV merger/ acquisition. Did ATT just not catch back up when they realized that U-Verse wasn't going away? Or (more likely), is this just another symptom of the demise of U-verse?
It is amazing how one little thing can turn a customer off. I put up with the random restarts of my gateway/ modem. I put up with the inconsistent sound level changes (issues with sound changing during a program from Dolby Digital to true 5.1 and back again). I put up with the less than stellar HD image quality (my rooftop antenna gives me a FAR SUPERIOR picture with less pixilation than I get from ATT). I even put up with hard wiring my "wireless" receivers because they couldn't handle the HD bandwidth on two at the same time. I have even been putting up with the slightly higher than comparable pricing because I like the convenience of staying pat.
Nope, having the app on my smartphone is not enough. I am going to start shopping around.

I echo the same feelings as all of the other gripes on this subject. This was a fantastic tool. An awful lot of us don't have and don't care about iPhones, iPads, and IOS.
Also, there are a heck of a lot more than 12 who hate this but don't know how to use the community to express their views.
Please give me an address I can email or write to someone who might listen and be able to remedy this terrible decision.
Thanks - RLC

I agree entirely. I spend the same amount and they have taken away a central part of my convince. Thanks for saying it all though I suspect not one reads or cares other than other dissatisfied customers!!

I had a similar conversation with tech support. He said there had been many such complaints. Like thilton above, I need the guide and remote dvr programming on a bigger screen than my smart phone. If this isn't fixed this week, I'm going to another non AT&T provider. At lower cost.

A temporary fix after a number of calls and live chat with the AT&T support people, to get a credit on my account for the inconvenience, and a trial of Direct TV to go for a few days.
So I get to watch and stream something, but still no ETA on the UVERSE.COM page coming back.
The Direct TV to go is much better in terms of always streaming what I selected, and not pausing, which is what I got with Uverse to go, but I still have lost the ability to check the listings, set my DVR remotely or stream onto a PC in the house or on the Road, and as I have currently a windows mobile phone, the Android and IoS app may as well not exist as far as it helps me out.
So I am thinking of returning to Comcast Xfinitiy or just continuing with internet only from AT&T and Direct TV to Go. Perhaps this is what they are trying to do to push away Uverse users in favor of the Direct TV products.

I am the same way I would rather watch on my TV so I have a Fire TV streaming box that has Uverse. This was really for the people who are crying that they can not watch TV on their computer. This is just a option. I use it mainly to see if a show I want to see is on and what service it is on.

I am ashamed that the Company I used to work for shows such disdain for it's customers.
It wasn't always that way (I come from a Bell System family), but I guess this is supposed progress and pure greed personified.
I encourage everyone to keep up the complaints as we need to be heard.
