What happened to Telemundo that is no longer in the channel line up in U300 Latino??

So, As of January 31, 2018 I no longer have the Telemundo channel in the channel line up. After speaking to a AT&T U-Verse Customer Care Supervisor I was advised of the very disappointing situation which is the channel that is MOST watched in my house. I was a VERY happy and satisfied customer until this happened. 

 

Quote AT&T U-Verse Customer care " Unfortunately, some station owners will sometimes prohibit their signals from reaching your home unless they receive a significant increase in current fees just to let you to keep watching shows they still make available for free, both over-the-air and often online. "

 

So, in essence do you have an estimate of how long this will take place, do you know if this is something that will be happening often as I'm reading?  I'm looking forward for your response.

Based on other complaints, and the fact that the original poster refers to channel 1031, which I assumed was an HD version of a local channel 31, it appears that the "culprit" is WTMO in Orlando.  As of February 1, it is no longer available on U-Verse.

 

I see nothing on the WTMO site that says that it has moved to a subchannel of another station, so I don't think that is the reason. I also didn't see WTMO in the list of stations whose contracts were expiring any time soon.

It could have something to do with the fact that NBCUniversal bought the station last month.

Understood, it is unfortunate that "we" U-Verse customers aren't advised of such disappointing news, regarding all the sudden the channel 1031 in HD (channel 31) vanishing the channel line up. As I wrote above, that's one of the main channels most watched in my house. I'm sure many thousands of other customers are wondering the same thing. Hopefully, this matter will be addressed sooner rather than later. 

Thank you for your input as I haven't seen any  AT&T U-Verse Customer Care agent provide with a written detailed, accurate information.

What happened with Telemundo no one received a notification for that if you don’t bring it back you will lose lots of clients starting with me
