Where did the History 2 Channel go?

I want my History 2 Channel back and pronto! Why is it that you can lock people into a contract for a certain amount of money for a certain period of time, and then just change the programming we signed up for whenever you feel like it? Based on this premise, you could just drop ALL the channels and charge us for no programming at all. I didn't sign up for any Viceland channel. It seems to me we have enough vice on TV already. I am extremely unhappy!

AT&T did not discontinue carriage of the H2 channel.  The owners of the H2 channel decided to rebrand the channel, changing the name and content.  All US carriers of the H2 channel have had the same change.  AT&T is "lock[ed] into a contract for a certain amount of money for a certain period of time" and had them "just change the programming."

Let me break this down:
The History Channel is still The History Channel and can be found at 256 SD and 1256 HD.
The History Channel 2  (aka: H2) was rebranded as Viceland over a year ago and is 257 SD and 1257 HD.

If you have any further questions or are unclear, let us know.

Side note: Any renaming or program changes are up to the network and is not under control of AT&T.

Yeah, so where do we find it now? Do you mean we cannot? Or does it exist elswhere under a new name?

History 2 was renamed Viceland with a much different programming mix.  See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viceland_(U.S._TV_channel)

There are H2's in other countries, but they are not the same as the old US H2, nor the same as Viceland.
