CBS VOD is only available in these CBS O&O markets:

CBS O&O Markets

Baltimore: WJZ-TV (channel 13)
Boston: WBZ-TV (channel 4)
Chicago: WBBM-TV (channel 2)
Detroit: WWJ-TV (channel 62)
Denver: KCNC-TV (channel 4)
Fort Worth: KTVT (channel 11)
Los Angeles: KCBS-TV (channel 2)
Miami: WFOR-TV (channel 4)
Minneapolis: WCCO-TV (channel 4)
New York City: WCBS-TV (channel 2)
Philadelphia: KYW-TV (channel 3)
Pittsburgh: KDKA-TV (channel 2)
San Francisco: KPIX (channel 5)
Stockton, California: KOVR (channel 13)

I thought I had The Good Wife record 1 hour extra because of football, well when I went to watch it I got 30 minutes of Madam Secretary and 30 minutes of the Good Wife, arrrghh.

Well at 2:14am Monday (usually up to 4am) I found it online at cbs.com already posted for viewing.   W/my Host file I even killed all the commercials, but had to watch from the beginning.  Could not FF it. Smiley Very Happy

Edit:  See it is available on CBS HD VOD now here in metro Detroit.

I believe CBS OD is only available in markets where the station is network Owned & Operated. Those pesky contracts unfavorable to viewers.

I suppose the correct answer would be that CBS is listed under FREE in markets where available!

Could you be a little more specific about what you're saying here.  I'm sure you replying to one of the posts above you, but it's nearly (if not completely) impossible to tell which unless you quote the post you're replying to.

I am a new AT&T uverse customer too.  I was amazed when tech support told me that CBS on demand is not offered in this area (Greenville, SC).  Unbelieveable.   Get a new contract AT&T!!!!  I'll have to watch the Good Wife and Madam Secretary on my smart TV browser.  May not need any cable TV at all after I figure that out!!!

Maybe CBS could be talked into buying WSPA-TV?

Or... maybe you could spend a few minutes figuring out how to do a Series Record on your DVR.

@So, it's all AT&T's fault, @arbee123?  In most local market instances, AT&T negotiates with the station owner, that broadcasts CBS.  In the list that @mibrnsrgn (Chris) listed, there are only 14 markets of AT&Ts 130 or so markets that can offer CBS VoD to AT&T.  CBS has not allowed any broadcaster other than its own, to offer VoD.  So, it sounds like the ball is fully in CBS's court, as they will not allow LIN Media, Tribune Media and so on's stations  to offer CBS VoD in their markets.  They allow other provoiders to do so maybe they are against IPTV?   Not sure why CBS won't play ball but this has been set in stone since U-Verse came into being, 7 years ago.  I bet Hallmark will be back before all markets get CBS VoD.

Best bet is to use your DVR and add time, when it looks like something is going to run long.

I have a lot of stuff recorded, and therefore have to work on a lot of conflicts. It was a surprise that only 15 minutes of Madam Secretary recorded. I think I got most of the good wife, but I’m sure I didn’t get the beginning. When I attempt to add time, I run into more conflicts. It’s a difficult problem. I have also contacted the local CBS affiliate to see what can be done.

When I have a block of shows on Sunday (usual for me), usually add 1 hour to the last show on CBS, now CSI.  That way I get all the programs, but part under 1 show name and another show name.

If I think of it in time, I adjust the time when the football game ends.  No conflicts as it goes into local news/local programming. 😉

I accidentaly erased my two DVRs of Big Bang Theory and went to watch OnDemand and no CBS.  What the heck.  I just switched from Charter and that was one of the first OnDemand channels they had!!!!!  I would like to see this resolved and soon!  Don't give me that market stuff, because if Charter has it why doesn't AT&T???
