Why doe the Uverse app not recognize my login information?

Getting login error even though I am positive I have the right login info.

Login to myAT&T app, navigate to your profile, scroll down to where it shows Uverse TV and use the att.net email listed there.  If that doesn’t work, go to att.com website and locate the area where email addresses are managed and create a subaccount for yourself and that should work.

It’s been that way for months. Multiple threads about it. There is a possible solution in one of the threads. I cannot recall which one though.
