In all probability, yes. It is not listed on the list of stuff that U-Verse subscribers will miss due to FOX's stupidity, greed, and lack of ability to honor a contract. So we should be able to see all the World Cup matches. I hope I am not wrong about this.

I hope not too, but FS1 is going by anything never shown on any Fox channel, they'll dart on FS1; although have replayed women's USA soceer on FS2.

The first match June 8 should show up in the Guide about May 27-28th and we'll see from there where we are at or not at. Smiley Very Happy

Edit:  They sure did warn about the National USA soceer matches 'might be afftected' and the World Cup is National teams including the USA National women's team.

I haven't seen FOX say "switch providers or you will miss the Women's World Cup". I have seen where they said all the USA women's national matches IN PREPARATION FOR the World Cup (along with USA Men's Soccer National matches, all MLS matches, NASCAR XFinity Series races, and Big East basketball games) would be blacked out. The way this is worded, there is no mention of the actual World Cup matches being blacked out. This is what makes me think we're safe. But as mentioned, we won't know 100% for sure until we see it show up on the program guide. Their wording could prove to be tricky.

Well, I just had a lengthy conversation with ATT's "Customer Loyalty" department (in Texas) today and learned that the Women's World Cup would not be broadcast to ATT subscribers.

Initially, when I spoke to the first representative, she wasn't informed on any of the specifics and just reguritated the same garbage statement that ATT fights for customers and FOX Sports raised their fees, etc. When I specifically asked about the WWC, she put me on hold and came back and said that it was part of ESPN's coverage and I would be able to watch it. After I explained that that was not correct and FOX Sports had the rights, she put me on hold several more times and continued to say it would be on ESPN. I asked her to google it and she still said ESPN, but did add that if I was correct and it was on FOX Sports, that indeed it would not be broadcast to subscribers and did suggest if I wanted to watch the WWC switching providers was an option. At this point, due to her incompetence I asked to speak to her supervisor (more hold time). The supervisor did verify that the WWC was part of FOX Sports rights and because of the dispute and ATT not agreeing to pay, ATT would not be broadcasting the games. (I would assume this meant live, since they have been time delayed by a day or so previously, but I did not ask about that because I'm not interested in watching the games a day late.)

In conclusion, no WWC on ATT Uverse as of right now. The supervisor did offer a discount on my regular service to retain me as a customer but I am seriously considering leaving Uverse.

I suggest everyone contact ATT Customer Loyalty and voice their opinions, let them know you are unhappy. Demand they broadcast the WWC live.

Even if you don't care about the WWC call for the rest of us! you might even get a discount out of it at the very least.

AT&T will broadcast whatever programming FS1 sends to it. You can demand AT&T broadcast whatever you want, but that changes nothing.

If you have questions or concerns about what FS1 is broadcasting, you should contact FS1. You should not harass poor AT&T employees; you should especially not call them incompentent for not knowing information they have no particular reason to know.

I wouldn't trust anything that these AT&T folks are telling you over the phone. Anyway, not all the games are on FS1. Here is the broadcast schedule:

http://www.si.com/planet-futbol/2015/05/20/2015-fifa-womens-world-cup-fox-broadcast-schedule-coverage

Also, some matches will be televised on Telemundo (3007) and NBC Universo (192). They're both SD, but that's better than nothing.

http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/thegoalkeeper/2015-FIFA-Womens-World-Cup-schedule-and-draw.html

Anyway, I still hold out hope- and actually still believe- that the World Cup games are not part of the dispute- or that AT&T will go ahead and pay for us to see the matches if it is. I also can't believe someone from AT&T suggested someone change providers either.

But just in case the worst comes to pass, I downloaded the NBC Deportes app to my IPad Air and signed into it. They are carrying all the Women's World Cup games live. I am going to see them one way or another- without changing providers!

First, I was not "harassing" ATT employees. I, a paying customer, was asking for someone to provide me information which they should have, particularly since there is a dispute with a network preventing them from providing all the programming customers would expect to receive. I was very patient and completely respectful despite the misinformation. You referring to them as “poor” is condescending - their job is in fact, to answer customer questions and concerns.

And I do believe that if enough customers called to complain, that ATT might eventually relent and work out the dispute with Fox Sports. They are betting on the chance that people won’t call to complain and just be happy with what they get. If this involved the NFL and the Super Bowl, you better believe customers would be calling their service provider and demanding they broadcast the Super Bowl.

I've seen the schedule already, and I know games will be on FS1, FS2 and Fox - these games will not be broadcast live. There is currently no deal for them to broadcast them live. As far as the Spanish language networks, I guess something is something, I just don't buy that as the best solution at all. And even with the Mexico game that was on one of the Spanish stations this past Sunday, they had a movie on by mistake and didn't cut to the game until the 20th min. There's no consistency.

The dispute is ONLY with FS1. I am almost positive that they WILL SHOW live games on other networks (Big FOX and FS2). There is NO WAY they are going to show us darts on our local FOX channels. Besides, even if they did, I and most likely many other UVerse TV subscribers can get their local FOX affiliate via an OTA antenna and watch all of the games broadcast on big FOX that way. But I still think this so called "AT&T supervisor" is wrong anyway. Nowhere have I seen the World Cup games listed among the programming that would be affected by the dispute. Now team USA soccer BEFORE the Cup and the MLS, that's another story. I still predict all World Cup games on every channel will be available live.

As soon as the AT&T rep mentioned in this thread said ESPN has the games, I lost interest. That person obviously has no clue.

Now, I would guess that AT&T will be showing the games. www.foxsports.com/dontmissthe1 does not mention FIFA or Women's World Cup. This deal was signed between AT&T and FIFA, probably as part of the deal to get the men's World Cups in Russia and Qatar.

I'd say we're good to go.

Know for sure we'll see everything on Fox locals, it's FS1/2 I worry about, the World Cup, but the way they phrased this:  U.S. Women's National Soccer Team matches as they prepare for the 2015 FIFA Women's World CupTM

Seems to mean we might be OK.

By the way, last warm up match is on ESPN 1602 5/30 4:30pm EDT against South Korea. 😉

Not condescending at all; I was one of those reps for several years, which and I dealt with several network disputes and can empathize with that rep.

You can certainly call AT&T and voice your opinion that AT&T should pay more to resolve a publicized dispute. That is the rep's job to hear your concern. They will note your concern and tell you what AT&T management has told them to say to customers with those concerns.

You claimed you had a lenghty conversation, you called the response "garbage", refused to accept the given answer, you called her incompentent (regardless of is it was to her face or not) and you demanded a supervisor. If that's not harassment, I don't know what is.

You refuse to accept that no one you call at AT&T should necessarily have any knowledge of what any network is broadcasting. If you want to know what Fox Sports 1, or CNN, or ABC, or any network is broadcasting, you need to speak with that network. Demanding that information from AT&T (or any other provider) IS harassment.
