Sounds after reset

I just lost the sound from my Directv Hr21-200 and had to reset it to get it working again. I noticed while it was rebooting it made a ping or bong sound several times before it finished.  What does this mean ?

Everything seems alright now, but have noticed the last couple of times that i unplugged the unit and plugged it back in that it made this noise while it was loading the system and doing the system checks.It reminds me of a error notification on a co
