Remote pairing with Samsung TE310 LED Monitor-TV

I'm unable to pair the direct TV stream remote with my Samsung TV, model TE 310. I've gone through the settings and pair remote screens. A Samsung TV is identified but when I try to turn the direct TV stream box and the TV off, only the box shuts off. The TV stays on and I get a yellow "Not A

For my use I don't need the voice but could see that being an issue.

So here is the fix. Buy a DirecTV RC73 remote then do the following 1. Press and hold MUTE and SELECT (LED flashes twice) 2. Enter 12051 Works perfect now. Why Direct TV decided to dumb down their remote is beyond me but at

I tried all of the suggestions including reset and no luck. The settings interface is a little too simplistic... would be nice to be able to enter codes and have more control of the device like the older style of remote. Haven't had this issue

No luck on that...I miss the ability to enter a code manually. May end up getting a harmony remote. Thanks for the help.
