ATT response to virus outbreak

Why has ATT not stepped up and provided free HBO and Cinemax to it's customers. With millions of Americans confined to their homes more entertainment options would be a great benefit. I would like to know if ATT is also profiting from the situation by increased movie rentals. Free movies or reduced rental rates would help. A simple flip of a switch could gets this accomplished as has been done in the past & may produce more customers for these channels after the virus passes.

free rentals won’t happen the contractual agreement forbids it. So unless the movie owners offer it for free it isn’t going to happen

I looked at orange box and ATT is only opening up junk stuff. No real entertainment. If they were serious they would pressure HBO & Cinemax about consessions. Also reach out to other providers to apply the same pressure. HBO & Cinemax won't respond to me but maybe to all providers making the same request.

Don't mess with old people.  The older we get, the less "Life in Prison" is a deterrent.

Why not ask ask the program providers (HBO/Cinemax) this question? AT&T is paying them for their programming, along with the contract distribution restrictions that prevent the programming from being given away.
