Butler Basketball game

Why is the Butler game not being shown on Fox Sports 1 on U-verse? This is their last home game and I was looking forward to watching it, but U-Verse chose to air Darts.

Not Fox Sports fault...posted on the Fox Sports page

AT&T is the only television provider that has not agreed to offer its customers all of the programming available on FOX Sports 1.

They tell you to : Call AT&T U-verse today (877) 970-0506.

Don't bother, you will get transferred around until you end up in a foreign country, just like when you call for technical help.

Does anyone know how to contact the 'real' people at uverse to complain?

I am tired of being held hostage every time a network and a cable provider have a pricing dispute.

I am a rabid Butler Basketball fan, and I am a customer of AT&T U-verse.  Imagine my disappointment, frustration, and ensuing rage when I discfover my Bulldogs vs Hoyas game was not televised.  I have seen this several times over the past several years: CBS vs Brighthouse (directly impacted me during football season), CBS vs Comcast, and now FoxSports versus AT&T.

What you guys don't realize is the groundswell of frustration that is growing with the increasing cost for reasonable broadcasting, and everytime a tournament or playoff season is around the corner, some greedy SOB is holding viewers hostage while some 1%er (in this case Murdoch) lines his pockets.  People are trying to find a way to see this content via something other than cable tv.

YOU ARE LOSING CUSTOMERS AND ANGERING THE VERY PEOPLE FROM WHOM YOU HOPE TO RECEIVE MONEY.

Please, STOP THE MADNESS!!

Thank you for coming to AT&T's forums to repeat Fox Sports spin on this story.  They keep getting away with this crap, they'll keep doing it.  And you'll pay for it each February.

And AT&T blames Fox. Naturally, when you turn the channel on, you're going to see messages to contact the provider. Fox doesn't want to hear any grief from their viewers, so they tell people to contact the provider (actually, this is one of the reasons why WatchESPN is not a monthly subscription paid separately via credit card, but rather part of the regular ESPN package.)

Why would it be AT&T's fault when FOX says: "We signed new content after you agreed to carry our channel at a certain price for a certain length of time. Because we signed new content that we cannot afford, after our contract was already in place, we need to ask you for more money now, as opposed to at the end of the contract."

IMO... the rates are gonna go up anyway. Would you rather they go up and get a dummied-down FOX or go up and get the real deal?

Besides when FOX and AT&T negotiate a few years down the road, AT&T can say: "We already agreed to this content back in 2015...therefore, we won't agree to raise the price as much as you greedy fools want. You got part of your raise in 2015 and you'll get part of it now."

Why is it only AT&T??  Are other cable companies capituating to Fox or is it AT&T not being an honest broker.  I was on the phone for 35 minutes this morning to AT&T and couldn't get anyone to tell me their side of the story.

If AT&T truly cared about its customers, as it claims, then they would have continued to provide us the Big East basketball and NASCAR on FoxSports1 with a warning that we would have to pay more.  I resent being treated like a child and not given the option of paying more for the programming I want.  If anyone from AT&T reads these forum posts, they should decide how much it is worth to them to fight with Fox and lose customers.

I called U-Verse at 1-800-828-2020.  The person I spoke to said he would check with his supervisor or whatever.  Was told they were working on "fixing" the issue and that it should be resolved soon.  Did I believe that...NO!  We shall see...hopefully before Big East Tournament time.

Totally agree.  We, the customers, are the ones that suffer consequences of these "fights" because we don't get to see the programs we want.

If Fox had really cared about its veiwers (as it now claims), it wouldn't have tried to hold providers hostage by trying to change the product and the charge therefore in mid-contract.

True dat!  BUT, if every other provider (ie. Dish, Direct, TWC. Comcast and so on) paid up, it shows that AT&T is a bit of a vagabond - no Hallmark, no MAVTv, dropping a great music service for a clunky/junky one and so on.  I hope that U-Verse doesn't become as wreckless as Dish.

Again, I think FOX is the only that does this "mid-contract" shenanigans.  Hopefully they can stop that by putting a clause in the new contracts.  Does AT&T get a lower rate from ESPN, since no Xfinity races?

Down graded my service Thursday Night. I Looked forward to the Butler University game only to have it replaced with a Darts Match?!? What an insult to your customers.

Paying 80.00 a month and Not happy with the whole contract issue and taking away things we want to watch due to a stupid contract rule.

Logged on and canceled the UVerse 200 and dropped to basic.

Dropped to Basic just so I could have TV service.

Thanks for losing a customer after 12 years. Thanks to the both of you, FOX and ATT.
