Changes to U-Verse guide
I'm seeing a lot of minor changes to the U-Verse guide, mainly in the local channels with the descriptions and some of the images used for future programming.
You'll probably have to re-schedule recordings. I know I did.

My wife has been complaining about routine programs not being recorded. I did my usual reboot of the DVR, but I had a suspicion it was more than that. Was trying to figure out how do I get someone to send an e-mail to the local head end to reboot whatever server was broke.

Yeah, I think I missed one or two recordings. Luckily, I have lots of backups.

I couldn’t figure out why one of my Series didn’t record! I set that one up again & hopefully it will record next week.

And now I see my guide only goes out about a week or so.
@ICHYWT can you send this up the chain? What changed here?
Maybe @UVTVguru can dig something up...
The images on the guide (in lieu of the picture-in-picture) changed.
There's a lot more program information and it seems to be new wording.
The guide now only goes about a week or so.
Was this a botched upgrade? Is something afoot?

Would you happen to be aware of any of these changes? @UVTVguru

The guide now seems to go out to the correct number of days.
With that said, the original air date of shows with episodes (late night shows, series) should be extremely prominent. It shouldn't be a treasure hunt to figure out if it's a new episode.
It used to be in blue next to the rating.
TV-14, Original Air Date 12/10/2024.

Some of the shows seem to be the old style.
But holy crap...some of the descriptions are friggin epic novels.
Something definitely changed for the worse.

Here’s what I have discovered….if you have previously set up a Series Record using a certain program title (Access Daily) but the programming guide now lists it differently (Access Daily with Kit & Mario), it will no longer record the programs….same time, same station, different title. 🤷♀️

Yikes. It's understandable *why* it would drop off, but yeah...it was a bad idea to switch guide info.
I've never used series record tho.

Wife uses it, but then checks up behind it.

But I'm also the weirdo who sets everything to "keep until I delete" then watches saved shows as I have time. If they're not time-sensitive, I can keep stuff for months.
3% of my DVR is available for recording. (With that said, the new app is horrible. The available recording time is way off, the tiles of saved/scheduled recordings are way too big and it's seems to be a miracle when I can see the list of recorded shows.)
