Hello @John5060, your needing information regarding Chicago Cubs games. Don't worry, we can help answer that for you.
The Cubs games will be aired on the Marquee Sports Network which will be coming soon to DTV. The channel for the network is undetermined at this current time. Please let us know if that helps answer your question.
It seems that if you live in the Cubs territory, you'll get games on Marquee.
If you live OUTSIDE of the Cubs territory, you'll have to watch via MLB.tv, even if your package includes Marquee.
Because this is a regional channel, I would suspect it to be in the 17XX range close to CSN Chicago.
AT&T nor or any other entity can control blackouts.
As to when we'll get it? It'll just show up one day. It launches on Saturday and AT&T has agreed to terms, so I'd suspect it to be carried at launch.
So...to answer the question: You'll watch Cubs games pretty much the same way as last year. If you live outside the Cubs territory, nothing changes. If you used to watch games on a regular Chicago channel, they're now on Marquee.
The exception to those games are ones on national TV channels like ESPN or FS1.

It also says the same for HD, but that will most likely be 1740.

John5060 -- Are you in the Chicago Cubs home territory?
I'm in Ohio and did not see any 1740 late Friday night, even after a soft reboot.

Same here.....I am in Central Ohio and did a reboot on all of my STB and still can't view this channel. From what I have read elsewhere, this was supposed to be a national roll-out and not just Chicago-area only......unless I missed reading something.
I am in St. Louis. I just checked on the U-Verse ap on my phone that I use to set up recordings of programming. I do not see 740 or 1740 listed for my U-Verse channels.
