FanDuel Sports: All but gone from U-Verse

I noticed that all of the regional FanDuel channels with the exception of Ohio and Cincinnati are gone from my U-Verse lineup.

It seems the FanDuel channels will be removed from U-Verse in September 2026, per the latest channel negotiations.

Let's see what happens.

What are they doing for content?

There's 3ICE Hockey (a 3v3 hockey tournament),  an independent baseball league, that "Bleav in" show, and a lot of random MMA stuff, Diggin' Deep...

According to the public information I posted elsewhere and here, the carriage contract is up for renewal this month.

I still see programming listed on 9/21, but this doesn't mean much. I'd imagine the channel will simply go away on U-Verse while still being available on whatever providers still have it. They probably don't want to pay for early termination or however that stuff works, so they're just riding contracts out.

I thought Nick GAS had a similar situation of honoring existing contracts until they expired, but the Wikipedia page says I may be wrong.

There was a grocery store near me that moved to a bigger location. They couldn't move the alcohol permits, so the old location got slimmed down and became a "last chance liquor store" for stuff that didn't sell elsewhere...but everyone knew that was only a temporary situation. Once the permit expired, the store closed.

FanDuel Sports Network reminds me of that liquor store situation.

Looking forward, my local NHL team will probably get a channel on U-Verse, similar to my baseball teams. It's still not as good as the RSNs were, but at least I don't have to worry about them being on a separate service. (I'm a casual viewer.)
