Fox Sports now blacking out MLS and US Soccer

Is this even legal? I was able to watch US Soccer and MLS games on here the past several weeks, even during the NASCAR debacle.

Either:

1) They've just now figured out that they were letting stuff through.

2) They're deciding to take more stuff away after their initial blackouts.

At least they could be nice and give us Sky Sports News, something that some of us might actually watch...but no....darts darts darts darts darts darts.

The joke is on them though. A lot of the US Soccer stuff is also on Univision Deportes or Unimas. Likewise, this Friday's MLS game is also on FOX Deportes.

...if only NASCAR was on Fox Deportes, then maybe we wouldn't get so many threads.

Now let me click the reply...OH WAIT! ARGHMUARFAWARGPHBAL DROP-DOWNS...ARGHHHHHH

That's right!  From the article in the link below:

If you’re a subscriber to U-Verse, you’ll still be able to watch Fox Sports 1, but when certain events go live, it means that you’ll be blacked out. So what events are in dispute? We have the  list below:

  • 9 NASCAR Xfinity Series races;
  • 17 Big East regular season and tournament basketball games;
  • 8 USGA events including the first two rounds of the men’s U.S. Open in June;
  • Several MLS matches including the All-Star Game; and
  • U.S. Men’s and Women’s National Soccer team matches

If Comcast were available in my area, could you PM me your contact info or referral number? I'd like to make an appointment.

What about Charter? Weren't you shilling for them the other day?

The funny thing is that those games WERE available the last few weeks. I know. I checked.

Either way, there is a workaround for MLS games. I plan on using it. (I'm just not sure if I can tell what they are...don't want to run afoul of any TOS.)
