AT&T which includes U-Verse, DirecTV, and AT&T TV have reached an agreement for future carriage of Sinclair's owned local broadcast stations, the Tennis Channel, the 21 Regional Sports Networks that Sinclair recently acquired, and the YES Network. Quoting from the article:

"BALTIMOlRE, Oct. 17, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: SBGI), and AT&T have agreed on a multi-year agreement across DIRECTV, AT&T TV and U-verse for continued carriage of Sinclair's owned local broadcast stations and Tennis Channel, for future carriage of Marquee Sports Network, a regional sports network featuring games of the Chicago Cubs launching in 2020, as well as for the 21 RSN brands Sinclair recently acquired and the YES Network, in which Sinclair is a joint-venture partner."

Here is the article in full:   https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/sinclair-broadcast-group-reaches-agreement-with-att-3009406...

Another article that I found indicated that this was a multi-year agreement.

As long as it's not an unreasonable fee for something we can all watch for free, AT&T will be happy to renew.

If AT&T gives in, that lets Sinclair raise fees for all providers. Something like a 37-cent increase for 1800 subscribers can be $6660 more per month paid to Sinclair...that we can all watch for free....and we know there's more than 1,800 subscribers of U-Verse.

I am so sick and tired of AT&T. I wish I'd never gotten Uverse. They took away our local channel 4 and now taking away channel 7. They want you to commit to a 1-year contract, but, as far as I'm concerned, when they take away the locals, they have broken their part of the contract. I hate these guys. They will be getting an irate call from me after work today that's for sure.

U-Verse has not taken anything away. I don't think U-Verse forces anyone to sign up for a contract, although I could be mistaken.

The contract clearly states that programming can change at any time. Witness the recent addition of ACC Network. Without that language in the contract, customers wouldn't get ACC Network to their individual boxes until later.

RE:  SINCLAIR BROADCASTING

I do not want to lose access to my ABC Network (WICS-ABC/Springfield, IL).  Sinclair Broadcasting may trying to punish WICS viewers who expressed displeasure with the termination of Joe Crain in June.  Still unhappy about that situation, Joe has found employment and many of us have moved on.  This being the case, I encourage AT&T to continue to negotiate with Sinclair Broadcasting.  Thank you!

Why not be sick and tired of the station owners increasingly pulling this kind of stuff, knowing that the average viewer has no concept of the behind the scenes workings of the rebroadcast market? The station owners are taking advantage of this public lack of understanding, knowing that the typical viewer will lash out at their provider to "fix it".

Absolutely. The channel owners run the scrolls and commercials on their channels in hopes that the customers get angry at the TV providers...and they hope that the pressure gets placed on the providers...and when that happens? The channel owners get the fee increases they desire.

I myself believe that there should be an agreement reached especially when it comes to the job loss .... Hasn't this country dealt with enough unemployment due to people that have the money but just don't want to spend it?
