Yep to all of those who are still mad that Music Choice has been ripped from us, This is not a bad replacement. 1900 channels to choose from. Thanks AT&T.
U-Verse internet is required.
I have messed around with it for a couple of hours. Right now, when I do a search, I get a "techical issue" error.

Sounds like this will be another great option for U-verse customers. See the article found in the link below:
iHeartRadio has become the first live streaming radio app to launch on U-verse TV, AT&T’s IP-delivered pay TV platform.
The app, which requires users to have U-verse high-speed Internet service, is accessible on U-verse channel 532/1532 and allows users to search for radio stations based on genre, location or keyword; select from thousands of live radio stations; receive personalized recommendations based on listening habits, location and musical preferences; and access a list of saved or recently listened-to stations.
AT&T and iHeartMedia said they will add new features to the app later this year, including custom stations created from a library of more than 20 million songs and 800,000 artists, as well as song lyrics, artist biographies, stations "Perfect For" any mood or activity, and thousands of podcasts.
AT&T U-verse TV currently supports more than 30 apps, including music-focused apps such as Country Deep, Stingray Music, Karaoke TV and U-verse Jukebox.
“Personalization is one of the key features of AT&T U-verse TV, so a highly-customizable app like iHeartRadio is a natural fit,” said GW Shaw, vice president of U-verse and video products at AT&T, in a statement. “We’re excited to bring iHeartRadio and its extensive offerings to our U-verse customers.”
Integrating music apps at the set-top level has become an increasingly common play for U.S. MVPDs.
Comcast, for example, offers access to Pandora via its IP-capable X1 platform. Dish Network, meanwhile, announced in January that its Hopper and Joey boxes would add support for several third-party OTT music offerings, including Pandora, iHeartRadio and TuneIn, as well as to Vevo, the music video streaming service. Dish is also working on Dish Music, an app that will “discover” Hopper and Joey devices on the home network, allow customers tovselect from multiple music sources and independently control what music is being piped into the house.
The audio on U-verse iHeartRadio app is way too loud. Much louder than audio on any other channel. Gotta turn the volume all the way down via the remote to keep from blasting myself through the wall. Hopefully this can be fixed.
Ten days later, the iHeartRadio app is still ten times louder than any other channel on U-verse. I guess no AT&T support people monitor these forums.
You guys are able to balance all the other channels so that no channel is louder than another. Then comes your new iHeartRadio app, which is BLARING.
I also submitted a complaint via email. All I got back was "Must be user error. Turn your volume down." #WRONG. #BadAnswer #Lame #ItISaProblemOnYourEnd
Yeah, I suppose I *can* turn my volume down. The point is - I shouldn't have to! 'Specially when I have to turn it all the way down to "1" so as not to ruin my hearing if I want to use the iHateRadio app.
At this point, this isn't so much a complaint as it is a test of AT&T support. Will they continue to blame the customer for the problem? Or will they admit that it's an issue they can adjust? And just do it?
iHeartRadio. Great app. Great idea. Just turn the durn thing down, AT&T U-verse.

@Edna-T Not sure what you are talking about, it's exactly the same volume for me as my HD channels which are louder than the SD channels. This was changed in the last update, when they raised the HD volume that was the same as the SD channels previously.
Just turn down the volume if it's too loud then. 😉

"Just turn it down then." That's exactly the attitude I was talking about. ***Not cool!***
iHeartRadio is at a louder volume than the SD channels AND the HD channels. A MUCH louder volume. And AT&T support seems to insist that it's my ears that are the problem.
Is it AT&T's position that "The customer is always wrong?"

Here's my observation and it totally negates your observation:
If I have trouble sleeping, I put the TV on either 5140 (Spa) or 5151(New Age). When changing from a 'regular' channel (Network/local) to either of the above channels, I have to turn the volume UP to hear them when I go to bed. They are WAY lower than SD or HD.
It must depend on what IRadio channel you're listening to. Some are louder than others. Is that ATT's fault? I'm not so sure. But that's what the 'volume' button is for on the remote.
Don't mess with old people. The older we get, the less "Life in Prison" is a deterrent.

I've noted noted no significant volume difference between iHeartRadio and normal channels. Do those who are finding it loud use the digital interface (HDMI/optical) to send an HD audio signal to their amplifier?

To totally negate your observation: We're not even talking about the same thing.
The iHeartRadio app is channels 532 and 1532 on U-verse.
There are no "Spa" or "New Age" channels involved in this loudness issue. "Spa" and "New Age" are part of Stingray. Stingray and the iHeartRadio app are not the same.
Please check out the app that this thread is actually about. Channels 532 and 1532, the new iHeartRadio app. Then maybe we can have a conversation about it.
Yes, the only connection from the receiver box to each of our three televisions in the house (all have the loudness issue on the iHeartRadio app) is the HDMI/optical cable.

The HDMI (digital) and component (analog) volumes are exactly the same level for each channel as I checked them today. The iHeart 95.5 Chicago country station I listened to last night was the same volume as my HD channels. 😉
Edit: On my Panasonic after the upgrade I had to lower the TV volume from 18-21 to 13-16 on the HD channels. The SD channels are stil 18-21.
