Is NFL Network on AT&T U-verse?

When are Uverse TV customers going to start receiving "NFL Network"?  Training camps have started.

I just realized NFL network was gone when j went to watch preseason games this weekend and was surprised by the fact that AT&T Uverse had slashed NFL network and not even bothered to mention it. Also the fact that we found out they had incorrectly buried our cable lines a year ago and we had been receiving internet speed 1/4 as fast as it should have been. We only learned this fact when streaming on our downstairs tv stopped working completely.

Then after spending 6 hours on the phone with their customer service they finally came out and reconnected the lines. Only problem was we were without internet and tv for a week. Then they missed their appointment 3 different times to come out and rebury the lines. So because the lines had to be marked off we could mow our lawn for 3 weeks and ended up in a jungle.

Very very unhappy with AT&T right now and most likely switching our $300 month service to Spectrum. NFL network is one of the few things as a working male, that I come home and enjoy watching. This is the last f*****g straw. 😡

I want to get a straight answer on the NFL Network. Is it coming back or is it not coming back?

Calling the loyalty department / customer service (probably both one in the same department), and they claim that negotiations are still ongoing with the NFL? FIVE MONTHS later and still no straight answer other than the obvious that it remains available for DirecTV customers?

As an ATT stockholder for many years, this is embarrassing. I have supported these people through the last debacle with the NHL Network, and here we go again with more (censored) about how they can't negotiate. I get about 200 channels that I don't give a hoot about and those negotiations all seem to go smoothly, but they can't cut a deal with the NFL? How can that be? They advertise all over their stadiums, so let's cut the nonsense.  After many years as a faithful subscriber, all I see in my future now is Comcast.

"The terms and conditions of all TV providers state that the programming can change at any time. "

I signed a contract in July based upon the channel lineup I found on the ATT website and it included the NFL Network. If in fact ATT Uverse had severed that relationship, they had an obligation to correct their materials and not create an unreasonable expectation for performance. One could, I suspect, successfully argue this is a "bait and switch" tactic where ATT advertised something it knew it wouldn't provide.

Why can't I get Red Zone Channel 1629 when I got it last year?

Note: This comment was created from a merged conversation originally titled NFL Network and Red Zone

@Wildhawker It's either funny or ironic that their customer service reps that pop up on these forums are titled as "ATTCares", when they could really care less...Over 12k customers gone per day, over 1 million in total thus far...and after last night with Thursday Night Football only available, again, on NFL Network, not on PRIME until next week, I'm getting closer to Spectrum/Comcast or cord cutting myself...Enough is enough. Hundreds of channels I don't care about, and they cut the one I "used to watch" every day.

AT&T is becoming the Sears of the tv choices out there. And every new choice they make is dumber than the last. Looking for the NFL network which reminded me to look for a new provider.

You can blame the NFL. They want AT&T to give up exclusive rights to Sunday Ticket. AT&T doesn't want to. As a result, the NFL is holding NFL Network hostage.

An option could be if you want the NFL network and Red Zone is to add Sling Tv  for football season(the first month is $30). Then when football season is over you can drop Sling.

Att has decided to screw you all by limiting access to programs in your U-verse account so they can sucker you into Direct satellite TV. It can’t stay on the air in a small rain storm with the little piece of metal scrap iron punching holes in your roof or taking up you lawn space. That also lock you into a contact similar to a time share with crazy fees and garbage service. You probably be better off leaving them for another local network or just up your internet and use a Amazon strick or YouTube TV.. it’s cheaper, no contracts and better service..ATT use to stand for customers service now it’s just another alligator trying to bite you in the butt…

1) If DirecTV really was awful, no bar would have it. Anything that runs like how the above post describes was probably installed by an installer looking to do things quickly and/or cheaply.

2) The streaming device alone won't get any service. Hence, your comment about "Amazon strick or YouTube TV" (whatever a "strick" is) makes zero sense.

I do agree that the streaming services are cheap. They're so cheap, they made a deliberate decision to cheapen out on their loyal customers and not give them regional sports channels. (Exception for DirecTV Stream.)

However, because this thread is over one year old, I'm going to close it now.
