Keep News 9 / News on 6 / CBS (Oklahoma)

One of the things that makes me and my family stay with Uverse TV is Our local Channels!
I rely on News 9 in bad weather! They have the best local coverage for Oklahoma

Our bill needs to credited for programming we have paid for but are not receiving (product paid for but not received).

 

Please restore Griffin programming including News 9 in Oklahoma.

I am not happy that AT&T has removed Griffin Programming /Channel 6 Tulsa.  If this is not restored ASAP, I will be leaving AT&T cable!  Please restore.

I am an AT&T U-Verse subscriber and am paying each month to receive programming that was promised to me when I became a subscriber.  At this time AT&T has dropped Channel 9 in Oklahoma City.  It is my belief that AT&T should either resolve their differences with Channel 9 and restore programming immediately or should issue a credit to all AT&T U-Verse subscribers for the programming we are not receiving.

Why can't ATT reach an agreement with Channel 9 (CBS) from Oklahoma City to provide the channel on Uverse?  I am a Uverse customer and I definitely want to be able to watch programs that are on CBS.  ATT should make it a priority to carry the main network channels on local programming.  

 

Get this corrected immediately.  You are NOT the only option for television and internet.

Losing Griffin Communications, channel 6 especially counts as a deal breaker for our household. I hope this is resolved quickly. What does AT&T intend to do as to refunding customers for lost service? If we move our television service we will also be looking at moving our WiFi and cellular phone service as we prefer to keep everything together on one bill.

Why would you want to charge CBS more money when you can watch CBS for free from your home antenna? We will be dropping our cable service if the problen is not resloved soon.

@1Sunflower, you have that exactly backwards.  Griffin Communications, the owner of your local CBS affiliate, wants to charge AT&T more money to be allowed to carry the same channel that you could get over the air for free.

 

Why don't you let Griffin Communications and your local channel how you feel about that?

I do not appreciate that AT&T and Griffin Communications are holding us, the viewers, hostage because they can not come to a compromise.  I am considering switching to Cox because of this fiasco.  When I go home tonight I will not be wringing my hands because I don't have CBS.  I will start to look for alternate programming choices.  Looks like a lose/lose situation for both of you.  Do something soon or both Griffin and AT&T will be losing costumers.

I can't believe you couldn't settle.  How much is the increase.  This is poor business management as I have found with all my att.com issues.  You need to be more customer service oriented and train your management and employees.  Get CBS back!  I will go back to Cox Cable if you don't resolve it soon!  Do not let it get this far again or your customers will revolt!

Have been customer of ATT for telephones, both home and mobile for nearly 40 years.   Have ATT Uverse, and internet in my home, which I have had since it first became available in my area.   I thought it was mildly annoying when ATT could not negotiate with the Hallmark Channel until recently.  I find it unbelievable that ATT drops our CBS affiliate  in the Oklahoma City area 

as it negotiates with Griffin programming.  That takes a major network away from your customers.   I do not know what the issue is (obviously finances, but what details?), as far 

as I am concerned, neither corporation is going to go broke by compromise.   This is not

an obscure station - this is a station (Channel 9/CBS)  that many of us rely on for our 

weather reports, and tornado minute by minute broadcasting during the Spring.  I do not think

too many people in this area will stand for not having access to this channel on Uverse for long. 

Hope you get it worked out very soon.  The fact that we were not even given a choice of 

paying an extra $1 or some other electronic method of viewing this channel shows that 

tens of thousands of customers are held hostage with no human consideration.  Very disappointed.

we were assured of local service when we moved our service from Cox to AT&T.  As of last night we do not have channel 9 local service.  When will this be restored.  If it's not we will have to consider other cable service,

If you are going to continue to not have CBS as part of my programming package I expect a credit be given to my billing statement.  I contracted with ATT for the Uverse package with the understanding I would see certain channels.  I feel you are now in violation of our agreement.  I can be reached at *** to discuss.  Please let me know what you decide.

I completely agree. I will have to talk to Cox and see if I can get everything.  I have had ATT since it was sbc and got u-verse as soon as it was available.  $1.00 from everyone would probably solve the problem, as if we aren't paying enough already and can't even get CBS or CW
