Mad Men horrible transmission problems

After much anticipation, I finally got to sit down and watch the final-season premiere of Mad Men. For the first few minutes, the transmission skipped, froze and was even without sound for several seconds. Did anyone else experience this?

The ATT U-verse signal has been frequently erratic lately, but this was incredibly bothersome. What happened? Will I be able to see the dialogue I missed on a rerun,or was this something at AMC's end?

Is it just AMC or other channels? Just one box or all boxes?

I'd suggest unplugging all boxes and devices. Plug the RG (modem) back in and wait for all lights to stop blinking. Plug DVR back in and wait for it to return to normal. Plug other boxes back in.

If still problematic, call tech support.

Keep us informed.

I have had the same problems. Better Call Saul on Monday was the same way. Now I check AMC every time I turn on the tv and it has problems. Standard def is fine--it is just the hi def channel. I tried rebooting gateway and boxes but no luck. I called AT&T last night and they said it was a problem AMC is having. But you the first other person I have heard mention it.

Yup, same here but on the dvr (possibly you were referring to your dvr as well). We sat down last nite to watch the first 2 episodes of Mad Men and the seaon finale of Better Call Saul, and the dvr, whilst showing both shows recorded, simply wouldn't get past the first couple of frames.

I've since tried to record other AMC shows and NONE would playback. All other networks I record shows from are not having this problem and yes help guys, I've rebooted Man Frustrated

Im having the same problem.  AMC HD keeps freezing and my recording of Better Call Saul was also bad.  You would think that after this long it would be fixed.

If it's been erratic lately, get it fixed.

Contact ATT Uverse Care on the link in my signature.

Send them a private message, on this link, and they should be able to give the help needed to solve your Uverse service erratic problems. They are available M-F 8am-11pm Eastern time (also around on weekends), response may take up to 2 business days.

This is not the regular CS/TS phone people, but the social media Community Specialists that know the people to contact to get things done. I personally know as they've helped me on a DVR swap and gone above and beyond.

Include your name, account #, email address and a good phone # (land or cell) and time to contact you on.

Check the blue PM envelope, upper right on every page, for their reply. Good luck 😉
