Newsy Off The Air On U-verse Effective June 30, 2021
On June 12, 2021, baseballisback gave the information included on the June, 2021, Programming Notice that E.W. Scripps was pulling Newsy off of U-verse on Channels 213 and 1213 as of June 30. at Midnight Eastern Time. It seems that Newsy will become a streaming channel if I understand this correctly.
Here are some opinions and reports on the www.dslreports.com website. There is a photograph on that website of the screen that indicates the demise of Newsy on U-verse.

Get programming information for AT&T U-Verse on, or about, the third Tuesday of every month at the below link.
And now we know it's moving to streaming. I don't believe the below information said why Newsy was leaving.
And no, your bill probably won't go down any. However, feel free to call 800-288-2020 to negotiate a temporary lower rate. Use a calendar or your preferred method to make a reminder to call back a few days before any promotions expire.

While the Newsy Network is being pulled from Uverse, the following was also announced:
On April 6, 2021, Scripps announced that it would expand Newsy into a free over-the-air network, as well as being available on cable and on streaming platforms, starting October 1. The network would be available over-the-air on Scripps-owned ION stations and on its affiliate stations plus on affiliates from other station groups.
It is also available on YTTV, AppleTV, Roku & Amazon FireTV.

...and I totally forgot to record the end of it.
The G4 signoff was fairly cool, as was the Audience Network signoff.
But at least Newsy lives on elsewhere. And thanks to AT&T for warning customers. There was a time when no warning happened before channels were moved/discontinued.

I have a feeling that Newsy viewers might be "too young" for "old-fashioned" message boards. Perhaps they're all on newer/hipper social media.

Young viewers are unlikely to watch any of this junk.

That's also true. Just because a channel tries to cater towards younger viewers doesn't necessarily mean the younger viewers are tuning in.
They're most likely getting their news from late-night comics, YouTube and other short-form formats. I'm sure the major outlets are all on TikTok (gawd) or other formats where you go if "Facebook is for old people."

I'm not happy that Newsy was removed. They were the one news channel closest to neutral although they leaned left. Newsy didn't have as much (Edited per community guidelines) as CNN and MSNBC and I can't even watch those channels anymore.

Per the post by @skeeterintexas Newsy is still available on YTTV, AppleTV, Roku & Amazon FireTV. AT&T didn't make the decision.
@gr8sho ...now we know.

Yes, I see it on Fire as well. They’re not asking for anything. Very odd to leave an established platform just to be on a vanilla streaming box. There must financials involved somehow.
However from what I’m observing, there’s not much here but some news clips and lots of commercials and trying to convince would be viewers they have no bias.
