NFL Network & RedZone are gone
Can anyone, preferably from AT&T, tell me if NFL Network & RedZone are no longer being carried on U-verse? At 4:15pm today I tried to go to channels 1629 & 1630, but what I saw was a message saying “This channel is no longer carried” and there was a reference to TVpromise.org. First time I’ve ever seen that message. To me, that isn’t just that the NFL Network is offline with broadcast issues. It’s that U-verse has dropped those two channels. Anyone else have this issue or heard anything about it?

I'll believe it when I see it.

@ANGRYY I'm unclear as to whom your remark was directed at but AT&T employees are identified as such. The rest of us are customers.
Don't mess with old people. The older we get, the less "Life in Prison" is a deterrent.

Cutting costs? That's a lie.
I know for a fact that the future of AT&T TV is that they will be eliminating Directv on satellite and push everyone to a new service much like DirectvNow and Uverse. What ever it winds up being if this situation stays the same they will not offer NFL Network.
How about just being transparent and telling everyone the real reason. This is an attempted power play against the NFL and we the fans are the ones who suffer.

Hi there. We understand your frustration. The NFL Network and Red Zone remain available to all fans on DIRECTV. However, as we continue to manage content costs, we could not reach an agreement with the NFL to continue to carry these channels on U-verse and DIRECTV NOW.

Hard to reach an an agreement when you don’t bother to negotiate:
“We have a long history of working with our distribution partners to come to fair agreements,” an NFL Network spokesman said. “That said, in order to come to an agreement there must be a willingness to communicate, to exchange proposals, to sit down and negotiate.
“Unfortunately, as it pertains to AT&T, we never heard a word from them until NFL Network and NFL RedZone were pulled from the AT&T U-Verse and DTV Now services. We’re disappointed for all our fans who will miss out.”

Hey Uverse on behalf of my fellow screwed customers for the upcoming draft. Especially those of us watchers of "Path to the Draft" and other specific shows.
My middle finger is at full attention directed squarely at you. Enjoy!
Believe me, we will all be with another TV provider or have a cord cutter option in place before the NFL season in September and we will never forget the disservice you provided during this critical NFL off-season period. Of course it seems no decision makers really care about UVerse so this post won't offend.

It remains priceless that administrators show up here and pretend that AT&T cares about anything other than profit margin. Here is a real world depiction of the company:
https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2019/02/03/att-continues-laying-off-americans-after-profiting-billions-from-tax-cut/
"Despite enjoying a $20 billion tax windfall from President Donald Trump and the GOP’s tax cuts in late 2017, AT&T executives are starting off the new year by laying off hundreds of Americans and potentially thousands by the end of the year.
In Syracuse, New York, about 150 Americans will lose their jobs as AT&T closes a call center. In December 2018, the corporation closed call centers in Indianapolis, Indiana; Kalamazoo, Michigan; and Appleton, Wisconsin, leaving hundreds and potentially thousands of Americans without jobs.
Last year alone, AT&T eliminated nearly 12,000 Americans’ jobs, the Communications Workers of America (CWA) union asserts. Meanwhile, AT&T executives claimed they would invest their tax cut savings into creating 7,000 middle-class jobs for Americans."

I chatted with Xfinity three times now and have all my information and will be switching before the preseason starts for the NFL. I can get better internet speed, more channels (including NFL Network) for about $15.00 to $20.00 more than what I am paying now (only due to the price reduction I negotiated and will expire in the next several months). Once the price reduction expires, Xfinity will be $60.00 to $70.00 cheaper than Uverse. I see a $2.00 credit on my Uverse account this morning, wonder if that is there way of saying I'm sorry for screwing up the NFL Network experience for you. What a joke!!

However, AT&T recently removed the NFL Network and Red Zone channels from its U-verse TV and DirecTV OTT platforms, prompting a terse response from the league.
In a statement, the NFL said: ‘While the NFL remains committed to negotiating renewed agreements on fair and equitable terms, AT&T has not been willing to actively engage.
‘We have a long history of working with our distribution partners to come to fair agreements. Unfortunately, as it pertains to AT&T, we never heard a word from them until NFL Network and NFL Red Zone were pulled from the AT&T services.’

I’ll say one thing for sure. DirecTV better be able to keep Sunday Ticket in at least the broadcast form. They’re all ready an antiquated armpit of a TV provider with their clunky dishes weather outages high prices and non existent customer service. A retention agent prodded me hard to change I just laughed at her. If they lose Sunday Ticket their won’t be enough landfills for all the junk dishes.

I bet they won't lose Sunday Ticket. Instead, it sounds like Sunday Ticket will eventually be added to other platforms like Amazon or ESPN+.
