NFL Network & RedZone are gone
Can anyone, preferably from AT&T, tell me if NFL Network & RedZone are no longer being carried on U-verse? At 4:15pm today I tried to go to channels 1629 & 1630, but what I saw was a message saying “This channel is no longer carried” and there was a reference to TVpromise.org. First time I’ve ever seen that message. To me, that isn’t just that the NFL Network is offline with broadcast issues. It’s that U-verse has dropped those two channels. Anyone else have this issue or heard anything about it?

As we continue to manage content costs, we could not reach an agreement with the NFL to continue to carry NFL Network and Red Zone on U-verse and DIRECTV NOW. We regret any inconvenience.

The ATT Cares account is perfect evidence that AT&T does not care in the slightest. As I posted yesterday, the company is simply trying to wade through this annoying period surrounding the NFL Draft. Then it will scheme toward the next channel or several it can get rid of, while trotting out the moronic phrase, "managing content costs."
As soon as that tax bill went through it was 100% certainty that it would unfold this way...with mega corporations basking in the windfall profits and simply distributing it among executives, with no intention whatsoever of additional hiring or investment aimed at the consumer. Unfortunately one side of the aisle does a much better job lying than the other side does of convincing.
It is never a surprise to me because I had a top job for a major casino sportsbook in Las Vegas. The owner of the casino would frequently get drunk and bounce around the sportsbook office at night. Many times he would brag about how much money he was going to make as soon as some new tax law went through. That's why the Sheldon Adelsons of the world are so heavily involved in campaign finance.

No AT&T, we don't accept this response at all. Stop blaming everyone else. No other cable TV provider is having these issues. 2019 is not starting off well. First, we almost lost Viacom network, as you waited until the last hour to finally come up with a plan. And from what I heard, it was a low-ball offer. And now we lose NFL network and Red Zone. That's just ridiculous. I know I can still watch the draft but Good Morning Football is hands down the best morning Football show. But, starting next Monday, I won't be able to watch it. Thanks for nothing. I will be looking into other options, even if it costs an early disconnection fee. If that's what you want, that's what you're going to get. Tell your negotiators and executive management, they're going to lose customers. I spend nearly $400 / month between my cell & UVerse plan. If you don't care to have that $4800/yr, I will gladly spend it somewhere else. Stop the non-sense!

What is the best way to contact AT&T and let it be known we are not pleased that they can't come to an agreement with the NFL, to resume the NFL Network to its customers?

Subject discussed at length HERE
Don't mess with old people. The older we get, the less "Life in Prison" is a deterrent.

It seems our only hope is if AT&T retains the exclusivity of the NFL Sunday Ticket, I imagine that the sticking point was not price , but using uverse and direct tv now as a bargaining chips. If AT&T does not retain the exclusive rights of the sunday ticket, bye bye nfl network, if AT&T retains the exclusive rights, I would imagine the NFL would demand that the NFL network be carried on uverse and direct tv now. One thing that does worry me the CEO of AT&T stated the other day if the nfl network is so important to the uverse or direct tv now subscribers, he will point them to getting direct tv. I just hope with uverse losing subscribers, this is not the beginning of gutting the sports lineup of uverse, by dropping mlb, nba, big ten, sec, channels when they come up for renewal or by putting them on the highest tier U-450, and just having espn, tnt, fox sports 1 as the only channels left for basic subscribers.

I can accept that cable companies change their program lineup on occasion but dropping the NFL NETWORK, ESPECIALLY within the context of not letting customers know whether there is even a remote possibility that this channel might come back, is unacceptable. I do not want to give AT&T U-verse my money anymore. I also do not want to go through losing this channel again, in the unlikely event that AT&T U-verse resumes airing this channel. As a temporary fix, I regained control this weekend. In particular, I dropped down to the minimum package that AT&T U-verse offers (i.e., the U200 package), I signed up for Sling TV, and I also ordered a ROKU Express streaming device through Walmart so that I can watch the NFL Network on my television. This streaming device should be available for pickup at a nearby Walmart in just a few days.
I was not familiar with all of the streaming devices that are available these days. What helped me figure out how to get the NFL Network back on my television now was reading the information that is contained within this link:
http://www.nfl.com/nflnetwork/main/network/iwantnflnetwork
The NFL posted this link.
Reading about how other AT&T U-verse customers got out of this mess was helpful as well. Thanks.
As an aside, I was in the Electronics Department at Walmart last night. The man who was working there told me a story about what happened to him when he signed up for AT&T U-verse. He said that the vents in one of the boxes that he received (I do not know if it was the DVR or the Modem) was full of cat hair. He also said that this box was wrapped up with cat hair in it. He also said that he took this box back and asked for another one. Too much.

ACE - Professor, Thanks for your response. As it turns out, the draft did air on my ESPN channel.
Teacher, You were right in that the draft coverage both on ABC and on ESPN cannot be blocked.

Since the NFL Network is no longer available, will my bill be decreased? If not, I need to look at changing to another provider.

Call (800) ATT-2020 and tell them you're upset. They won't lower your bill if you don't call.

I am very upset with U-verse taking away the NFL and NFL Red Zone channels. You have already taken away the PAC 12 channels, what else will soon be gone?

Corporate greed is the opposite of unbelievable.
As soon as they get a taste of what they can get away with, it's like a surge of energy and delight to scheme the next one.

Well I was fortunate enough to attend the draft but not continuing service with AT&T Uverse if Redzone and NFL Network isn’t back by July. I watch these 2 channels all football season and I’m not going without. I knew DirectTV wasn’t going to be a good thing for them to purchase. AT&T needs to get over NFL wanting to branch out. It was bound to happen after all these years of having exclusive rights. As some people might say quit being butt hurt.

I signed up for the sports package and paid add on fee which included NFL red zone and NFL network.
on month after starting service these networks were dropped from the lineup .
no notice was given and my monthly charges were not reduced !
why to both as I never would have signed up with AT&T uverse if these networks were not included.
