NFL Network & RedZone are gone
Can anyone, preferably from AT&T, tell me if NFL Network & RedZone are no longer being carried on U-verse? At 4:15pm today I tried to go to channels 1629 & 1630, but what I saw was a message saying “This channel is no longer carried” and there was a reference to TVpromise.org. First time I’ve ever seen that message. To me, that isn’t just that the NFL Network is offline with broadcast issues. It’s that U-verse has dropped those two channels. Anyone else have this issue or heard anything about it?

If you are pulling the channel in order to control costs, are we as subscribers to expect a monthly discount for reduced content? We have budgets also.
‘’They gave me $5 a month off and a $25 bill credit.

Programming Note: ESPN 2 will be simulcasting Good Morning Football (from NFL Network) from 7am-11am today ET (listed as TBA in the guide) ... Friday April 26th. They also did it on Thursday.
AT&T might add the NFL Network back to the DTVNOW and U-Verse lineups at some point, but if the NFL doesn't let AT&T keep its NFL Sunday Ticket exclusive, it could be curtains for the NFL Network for good. Bad blood between the two could boil over to future deals.
Are you ready for some football? Well, you can always simply Google: nfl network live stream for the NFL Network free stream ... some streams are better looking than others, but most will have slightly inferior audio (like a subpar mp3), even though the picture is very good.
Plus, if you want to watch quality free VOD from the NFL Network (no sign-in necessary and this is only for US viewers) from the official NFL site for certain shows like NFL Total Access and a few other shows like A Football Life, (but NOT Good Morning Football unless you pay for the subscription) just click the link below:
https://gamepass.nfl.com/channel/nflnetwork
A US Subscription for NFL Gamepass is $50 a season (current season ends July 31, 2019, so wait until after that if you want to pay for it -- the free trial is for 7 days) whereby you can get a live stream of the NFL Network and ALL the VOD shows included, but you can't watch the Live games from other networks, so they have them as VOD, (starting at 8pm I believe).
However, European fans of NFL Gamepass can get a free LIVE stream of the NFL Network (yes, it's the same Live feed as the US one), with perfect sound, and the entire show that is on live can be RW or FF to anywhere you want (I think just like the BBC website allows its live viewers to do). Which thus makes it even better than the DTVNOW live streams. Sure, you can't record the live feed (unless perhaps you somehow setup a separate online recording of it) like you could with DTVNOW, but since you can RW the show if you arrive late, it's still pretty good ... and it's free (not sure what happens after July 31 2019, but perhaps a new free signup is required).
So that's why I figure the NFL Network needs to stop playing games and let DTVNOW have the NFL Network for the same price that they were paying ... or else a lot of people will start looking for alternative ways to watch it, and perhaps end up in Europe ... I'm getting ready to visit Big Ben (the clock, not the Pittsburgh QB). Too bad the scaffolding around the clock blocks most of it (under renovation), but luckily I'm also just kidding about physically visiting the UK.

There was an interesting article in the Washington Post today about the topic of cord cutting that encapsulates the current bidding of streaming services. I also agree with one of the conclusions that many of us ended up paying more per month to watch shows. The stuff tends to sneak up on you. And when Disney and Apple come online it will add even more complexity. Which box do I turn on to watch which show. This NFL network thing is just one example of the battle for supremacy among the content owners and the service providers. Ultimately I suspect we'll all be voting with our wallets one way or another.

I’ve had U-verse for many years, since it’s first arrival in our area, and have been satisfied with performance/stability, choices, and pricing. (Far better than comm crap)
With that said, loosing the NFL Network WILL cost AT&T long lasting and reliable customs like me who will become reliable to someone else, never to return.
AT&T: Decision is yours. You have a few days to resolve issue with the NFL Network and then to fall on sword and apologize sincerely to existing customers quickly.
Should I hold my breath?

We understand NFL Network and Red Zone are important to you. While they remain available on DIRECTV, we could not reach an agreement with the NFL to continue to carry these channels on U-verse and DIRECTV NOW.

Is there any way to move forward and still work out a deal with the NFL to have the NFL Network channels back on??
Many disappointed fans among ATT customers. It's one important reason we pay for the service.

Hi, Chessie. As we continue to manage content costs, we could not reach an agreement with the NFL to continue to carry NFL Network on U-verse. The NFL Draft will be available on ABC, ESPN, ESPN Deportes and streaming live on https://soc.att.com/2ErT6kq too.

Hi there. We understand your frustration. The NFL Network and Red Zone remain available to all fans on DIRECTV. However, as we continue to manage content costs, we could not reach an agreement with the NFL to continue to carry these channels on U-verse and DIRECTV NOW.

With that said, and no other service option on U-verse to have this channel, a long/loyal customer (since 1st available in Jacksonville many years ago) will need to find an alternative provider.
It’s unfortunate that you could not resolve availability of this required channel. Sad day but, obviously, some executives are willing to take a risky bet that customers like me will live with this decision. Good luck!

They do not care. U-verse is not a priority anymore. I can't get sat TV because of trees. Good thing Google Fiber came along with NFL Network and RedZone
