NFL Sunday ticket

I'm a AT&T uverse customer almost 2 years now was under the impression that NFL Sunday Ticket would be available through uverse in the near future sense AT&T owns DIRECTV I see that you can order NFL Sunday Ticket online without being a DirecTV customer but I don't qualify would be willing to pay the two or three hundred dollars to watch that I really don't want to switch back to the horrible over priced service I got from DIRECTV for years why can't I order the online subscription for NFL Sunday ticket if I'm an AT&T customer don't understand I'm assuming I'm not the only person who wants NFL Sunday Ticket but not DIRECTV!

Hi @adowell75

There have been changes to the online NFL Sunday Ticket service and since the deal between AT&T and DIRECTV has finalised, I recommend checking your eligibility again. You can check it here: https://nflst.directv.com/.

See this video for more information.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Gee, you don't think the entire point of DIRECTV making sure that they have exclusive rights to NFL Sunday Ticket was to make people choose between getting DIRECTV and not having Sunday Ticket at all, do you?  I just hope this isn't a "sign" that the eventual plan is to get rid of the U-Verse TV service and "convert" U-Verse's internet and phone into "DIRECTV Internet and Phone."

For those of you wondering who "qualifies" for the online version: "NFLSUNDAYTICKET.TV service is only available to non-DIRECTV customers who live in a select apartment building where DIRECTV service is not available, attend select universities, or live in one of the following metro areas: New York City, Philadelphia, or San Francisco."  NYC and San Francisco, I can understand (because of the "no broadcast doubleheader if either the Giants or Jets (NY)/49ers or Raiders (SF) have a home game on the other network that day" rule), but I wonder why Philly gets a pass as well.

ATT doesn't own Direct TV....at least not yet.

Maybe when the $48b merger is approved things will change.

The availability of NFL Sunday Ticket to U-verse customer is unclear, if and when the deal for AT&T to buy DirecTV is approved.  We will just have to wait and see what happened if or when the deal is approved.  It's too early to speculate.

@adowell75   Months ago just after they announced the merger, there was a question about this subject.  ATT's response was "Sunday Night NFL Ticket will NOT be moving to Uverse after the merger". Smiley Surprised

Sadly, there is a lot of "assuming" going on, in regards to the merger.  Hallmark, Sunday Ticket and so on.  We will see.  BUT, even if the merger is approved thsi year, it may be a year or two before everything fianlly shakes out / shakes down.

If you subscribed to U-verse IPTV, then you will not be getting NFL Season Ticket, at least not yet.  If you subscribed to DIRECTV then you may have it.

I think it would be great if current AT&T Uverse IPTV customers (non apartment homes) could at least be allowed to sign up.  I understand NFL Sunday Ticket might not be available this year via IPTV UVerse but at least the online only version of NFLST.

I called AT&T customer service today (8/15/2015) to ask about NFL Sunday Ticket for Uverse customers this year according to this link:

http://about.att.com/newsroom/att_dtv_faq.html

The customer service representative stated there isn't anything ready YET but there "could" be announcement in about 2 weeks.  hmmmmmmmm...  She stated the system is not currently ready but it might be ready soon.

I'm not confident that we (uverse IPTV customers) will see any NFLST this year but I am very VERY hopeful.  (fingers crossed)     🙂

I was lied to by 2 AT&T agents that I would get the Sunday Ticket if I switched from DirecTV to Uverse and moved my internet from Comcast. I cancelled my DirecTV thinking they knew what they were talking about since it is now the same company. I called uverse to confirm this week and they said it was not true, and there is nothing they can do but switch me back to DirecTV, which I am not wasting more of my weekends installing more service- my time is valuable and I had a verbal contract saying I would get the Sunday Ticket package on Uverse. I even told them I would be ok if they just provide me with the streaming service, which they said they cannot do because it is above their $50 credit limit. How do I get in touch with the escalation team besides writing a letter? I find it disappointing I was lied to to get people to switch inside the same company.

@Kpadge16 The Escalation Team can be reached by sending a private message to  AT&T Customer Care, and someone will get in touch with you.

A verbal contract is worth the paper that it is written ... oh, you said a verbal contract?  It's worthless. 😉

AT&T HAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE TEAM AND DIRECT TV IS NOT FAR BEHIND, A DEAD HEAT. WHEN THEY DON'T HAVE AN ANSWER (ALWAYS) THEY JUST TRANSFER YOU TO ANOTHER DEPARTMENT, USUALLY A DEAD LINE! I REALLY THINK THEY ENJOY SCREWING WITH CUSTOMERS. TWENTY FIVE MINUTES OF MY LIFE WASTED, IF YOU DON'T COUNT THIS POST.
