On Demand

What has happened to On Demand shows.  I have ATT U-Verse and get On Demand programs from Fox, CBS, etc.  ABC is the only one I am unable to access anything.

It's not just U-Verse with this issue, but a lot of channel owners have been pushing stuff to their apps and websites lately.

I guess it's more affordable, better, whatever...for the companies like Disney, Comcast and Turner to keep stuff on their own servers vs use "On Demand" options from TV providers.

As stated, more and more networks are moving their On Demand programming to their own streaming services or online.

CBS was one of the first with their CBS All Access.  Fox has Fox Now.  ABC has ABC GO and NBC recently introduced The Peacock Network.

Most are free (except CBS All Access).

Don't mess with old people.  The older we get, the less "Life in Prison" is a deterrent.

I wonder if Peacock will eventually force the hand of CBS to move to a tiered system.

I doubt it, but it's fun to guess.
