PBS in Kansas City Metro
ATT Uverse offers only one PBS channel to Kansas City subsribers - 19.1 (1019.1 HD). 3 PBS channels are available. 19.1 and 19.2 have a small number of overlaps in programs. 19.3 is the Create channel, which has a rich selection of DIY, craft, sewing and cooking programs. In order to enjoy what the Create channel provides we find it necessary to use 1) an over-the-air antenna TV and 2) Windows Media Center and a Hauppage USB TV device to record content.
We have tried to communicate our dissatisfaction via ATT customer support, with no response follow-up from ATT.
Anyone know who at ATT might be interested in improving PBS customer focus?

Nope! Except in rare circumstances, U-Verse does not carry digital TV subchannels, in any market. The President of the two local Tribune stations, here in Indianapolis (Fox 59 and WTTV 4), offered AT&T free access and receiving equipment and AT&T said nope.

New to U-Verse. Subscribed to take advantage of the new fiber optic cable AT&T put in our neighborhood in Overland Park/Leawood. Just getting acclimated. So dissapointed to find Create TV is not part of the offerings. Our other cable company carried it so I assumed....wrong.
Miss it a lot.

Yes. I can go search for individual shows and see them on my computer.
It's a lifestyle thing. I have a home office and I work on my computer all day. I like to run the TV in the background while I work. The Create Channel is a go-to option for me. Non-violent and informative. Kind of like wallpaper or friendly company. I can break my concentration and look up and focus across the room when something catches my attention. It works for me. Do I buy a second computer to play while I work? Do I buy an antenna? Why then do I need cable?
Having TV access to the Create channel within my subscription does not seem like a lot to ask. Comcast and Consolidated have it (unfortunately I thought I'd shaken their flawed service). I have to consider why I am paying a not insignifigant amount of money to subscribe to a service that in addition to real programmed offerings runs tons of channels completely devoted to selling Wen shampoo, diet and exercise regimes, the newest Volvo, Time life products and a multitude of other stuff I don't need. I don't think I am out of line to request a "free" subchannel.
