Premium channels On Demand? Largely gone!
Well, I knew the day would come and they probably left with the recent negotiations.
Obviously, HBO Max took over for HBO and Cinemax On Demand and Paramount+ took over for Showtime On Demand. The subscription is technically for HBO Max and a subscriber just happens to receive whatever linear HBO or Cinemax channels the provider has. I believe the same is largely true for Paramount+ and Showtime.
(I get HBO Max through my internet subscription and I get Paramount+ via a promotional offer through a third-party website.)
At one time, there were probably 80 or more titles on HBO On Demand. I think I looked a year or so ago and there were probably five or so.
I'm not surprised they're all gone. It's a bit surprising the linear channels are still around, although these can be used for free weekend previews like the one going on now for MGM+.
