Premium On Demand features getting whittled down or removed

It's a rhetorical question, but has everyone else noticed that Premium On Demand (like Showtime, Starz) has taken away the "past" years Series episodes and replaced them with "recaps"? The reply to complaints is that they are available on the App, so AT&T is still technically providing the service. But if you don't have a smart TV, or aren't Internet savvy, you have just had a product devalued that you are now paying the same for. I still can't get a straight answer if it is an issue being rewsolved, or "by design" to save storage room or bandwidth.

AT&T has nothing to do with the premium channel apps.  The service provides that free to cable co. subscribers that subscribe to their channels.  Their app is the same app that they sell as stand alone services.  AT&T has limited space for on demand.  The apps have unlimited space that the channel controls so they can have more shows and movies then with the cable co. on demand

The "On Demand" service and its features, as part of the U300, is a value component of the "entire" bundle, which has been described, bought, and paid for by your customers. So it is not "free"! If On Demand or a feature of it is taken away, "value" is taken away.

Are you saying: if a primary contractor is building your house, which includes "sinks" in the plumbing, but the plumber decides NOT to provide those sinks, can the contractor say that the sinks were just a "free component" of entire plumbing job and therefore he "has nothing to do with it" and is not responsible? A premium channel provider is a "sub-contractor" to AT&T, my contractor! The contractor collects money for the products they sell and say they will provide to customers!

If a sub-contractor devalues or denies a service provided by the contractor, the contractor is still responsible for the service he has promised to provide, or he must adjust the cost for the devaluation.

What if a provider channel that provided primarily movies, decided to stop showing movies and substituted cartoons, would AT&T, our primary contractor, just say sorry? If so, that's Bait & Switch folks!!

So you actually think someone from AT&T sits around and decides WHAT is going to be available On Demand and what isn't?  What would that job title be?  On Demand System Analyst

Maybe it's the same AT&T employee that decides what programs are shown on Bravo and E! and the movies that are shown on Showtime & HBO.  Yeah, that's it.  Smiley Frustrated
