Showtime vs. AT&T

So today I reached out to both Showtime and AT&T and asked them to estimate the percent chance we would lose Showtime. Showtime said it looked pretty likely- probably about 75%. But AT&T said they doubted very seriously it would happen and said "less than 5%". So who to believe? Myself, I believe Showtime. AT&T is just trying to squeeze out one more month's bill money out of me before the [Edited to comply with Guidelines] hits the fan because they pretty much know I'll be canceling then.

If a contract is not worked out, at what time do the channels go dark and which time zone.?

If the channels do go dark, I do not feel that it will be long term, but instead a couple of day thing like it was with Scripps.

dwinth, the deadline for the contract dispute is today. Today, at 12:00 AM Eastern time, I turned on Showtime to see if Showtime went dark and Showtime was still on. Today, at 12:00 PM Eastern time, I turned on Showtime to see if it went dark and it was still on. I have not heard more news about the CBS and U-verse dispute as of recent. I was assuming that Showtime and the rest of the CBS owned channels were going to go dark today at 12 AM or PM but as I am typing this, they are still on the air on U-verse. I don't know what time the channels will go dark.

Chris, I knew it was tonight, but I was not sure whose time zone they were going by. I will know at 11 PM St. Louis time tonight.

I've had U300 for close to a year now, and I think I've watched Showtime twice, so I probably won't miss it much. On the other hand, I would miss CBS.

I am prepaired for if it happens.  Hulu Plus has entered in an agreement with Showtime to sell their service through hulu for 8.99.  I hope AT&T makes and agreement but this is one option so you will not have to leave Uverse altogether because they have a lot of good points in their favor.

Showtime is $8.99 in addition to the Hulu monthly fee of $7.99.  The first month of Showtime will be free.  That way people here won't suffer if Uverse drops Showtime for a couple of months.  I personally don't care if Showtime goes away, I pay for it but don't ever watch it.

FatsDillon and DobieGillis worried about this for no reason. Did POP TV show up since apparently there is a new contract? I did not feel like searching the channel guide to see if it was there.

Probably just a temporary extension of carriage rights.  They did this 3 years ago.  The deal didn't get done until the end of August.

EDIT: I stand corrected, deal is done:
