Sunbeam Television vs. U-verse - status of negotiations

The South Florida community has now gone one full week without local Fox affiliate WSVN channel 7.  What is the status of the negotiations?  If this is not resolved soon, what steps will ATT take to ensure that their customers are provided with the full Fox programming?  Or will our bills be reduced due to the lack of promised services by ATT?  Why not provide the West Palm Beach Fox affliates programming?  The option of unplugging our DVR's and trying to get a digital signal is unacceptable.

Have you asked the TV station what the status of negotations is?  Why they don't agree to allow their viewers to see their programming via U-verse during the negotiations?

They are not transmitting their signal specifically to ATT Uverse because they are in a rate battle with them.  They are a free-over the air channel, so their response is, if viewers want to see it while they negotiate with ATT, then they can get the free digital signal or change to another cable provider.

So... it would sound to me that the intransigent party in this negotiation is the TV station.  Maybe their typical advertisers should be reminded that U-verse customers can't see their commercials right now.

From my perspective, I don't really care who is at fault.  I just want to see Fox network shows, and if ATT can't resolve it's issue with WSVN, they should provide an alternative those of us in South Florida, especially those of us who pay premium rates for Uverse or credit our accounts because they are no longer airing Fox programming to South Florida.

But the FCC won't allow them to do that.  Which is why the local stations think they can play hardball.
