U-verse is not available at this time Error message

I am getting a”U-verse not available at this time. Please try again later.”  Restart Receiver.  I have restarted a ad and reset my router several times and reset my DVR several times over the last 2 hours. Will I ever get my U-verse back again?

I called AT&T and it’s a known outage. They are working on it. Trent at AT&T told me there is no timeframe for which service will be restored. AT&T will provide a credit for services not delivered.

There’s a MEGATHREAD started in regards to a widespread outage, including a map and an update from a rep found online.

Don't mess with old people.  The older we get, the less "Life in Prison" is a deterrent.

We are yet another U-verse user and ours went down yesterday at some point.  Finally got through to someone and they said their "team" is aware of the problem and are working on it but it may take up to 36 hours or more.  Good grief.  This is very frustrating and I find it hard to believe with all the technology they have they cannot fix this issue quickly.

attn UVERSE!! you sure know where to send the bill when we owe you our monthly payment how about you step up your game pull up those billion dollar company bootstraps and EMAIL your LOYAL users when stuff hits the fan instead of making us ALL waste HOURS of our time with useless scripts and long holds and frustrating disconnects.  i hope you credit every user for at least the time we've lost using a service that we each pay a PREMIUM price for  . . consider the time you stole from us wasting our time with bad feedback a gift at this point.

Same outage here in the Dallas area since 10 pm or so last night. Confirmed a friend who also has U Verse (although after reading these posts it's obviously 'nationwide').  Would have been nice for ATT to send everybody an advisory email, but customer service has never been their thing. Good techs, but poor social skills. 

Since it's 12 degrees and snowing, we're not leaving the house today:  looks like it's NetFlix and chill today with the emphasis on "chill".

yet another U-verse user in Michigan.  I cannot get any service on any TV in my house.  I talked to an agent last night (one and a half hour wait) and he said they are aware of the problem and are working on it but it may take 36 hours to fix.  Good grief.  Not happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FWIW, U-verse is working for me now in the Greenville, SC market.  I haven't tried to watch anything for the past two days until this morning, so I do not know if it was ever out here.

Having same issue in St Charles IL.  Internet and phone service is fine.  Watching the lions rams game it froze and on reboot we get “U-Verse tv is not available at this time”.  It’s not 8:16 am the day after ( Monday the 17th) and same message on all receivers

Been thinking about dropping cable and moving to youtube or another streaming service anyway - Seems they made the decision for me - The lack of communication about the issue is really the deciding factor - Ridiculous not to give us a little more info , the outage page says everything is fine-

Here in Michigan also experiencing phone and internet outage.  Went through this about a year ago.  Took a week to restore service.  Was repeatedly given misinformation (or no information) on service updates.  The worst customer service I have ever experienced.  Neighbors who have Comcast for internet and cable have not experienced outages (of more than a couple hours) in years.

Please file a complaint with the FCC and BBB.  This is the only way to bring customer service issues to the attention of AT&T corporate.

UPDATE - LOL. .   i JUST clicked the SUPPLIED link to keep track of the outage and it says there's no outage in my are . . un-flippin-BELIEVABLE . . my dudes . . really?

Complete Uverse Outage last night before the snow arrived!!!! None of the troubleshooting worked. It started at 930 pm last night with the DVR not working and then the channels started disappearing and going black screen, one by one. When I rebooted. there was nothing except Bootstrap Error, then the Red X and never working again. ATT CHAT DID NOT EVER ANSWER after two hours ! NO ONE ANSWERED THE PHONE AFTER 10  HOURS AND I AM STILL ON HOLD this morning!!!!!  I left my phone on, on hold all night and this morning the chat keeps saying "Your inline for  an agent" it said that for over 2 hours last night. 

I took a screen shot of my phone. Now 10 hours and 24 minutes on hold..... I have tried all the online troubleshooting, but nothing works. To see the news I had to go to my old AMAZON FIRE STICK. It still works. UVERSE this is not a nice way to treat your customers. We have snow here and cant get the local news with the UVERSE OUTAGE. Channel 8 news has been gone for awhile and it came back yesterday and then disappeared! DVR would not record channel 8.
