U-verse is not available at this time Error message

I am getting a”U-verse not available at this time. Please try again later.”  Restart Receiver.  I have restarted a ad and reset my router several times and reset my DVR several times over the last 2 hours. Will I ever get my U-verse back again?

My U-Verse has been out for 24 hours.  Called Customer Service and was told Hold Time is 15 hours.  Chat on Web is down too.  Not a single post on AT&T Website anywhere about U-Verse issues that many seem to be having.  What are we supposed to do ???

I think it helps to know where Uverse is back up so that those who are still not working will at least know that the problem is being worked on.  Or if you see that your city is back up and yet your Uverse is still not working, then maybe it might be because of something else.

YEAH !!!  Suburb south of Chicago is back up now too!  Just restart your DVR(s).

Good Luck To All & if you are still out, just give it a little more time & keep trying reset.

I really appreciate the posts. Knowing it was a very large service issue problem, rather than just my own, made a huge difference in my trouble-shooting plans -  which I am probably better versed in than most the AT&T Service Reps you get that 1st answer the phone.  At least I didn't have to wait on Hold 15 hours to talk to somebody.  It would have been so much better if AT&T would have posted a message on THEIR website, rather than having to do a Google Search to find out how extensive this was.

Just glad I am back up without any hassles !   I still prefer AT&T U-Verse over any of these Streaming Services that I have tried using a free subscription offer to see how I liked them.  Just need a little better Customer Support ... but that could be said of most major company now-a-days!

SW Chicago Suburb reporting in.    I should have checked the forums first as AT&T said there was no known problems in my area.   Internet was fine, but the dreaded DVR just gave me the dreaded red X (sometimes no number underneath, sometimes the number 13)   Happened after the 2 cogs were displayed and went nowhere.  Tried everything except the hard reset on the DVR as I read that having a 3 or 13 under the red X means a communication error.    Did my 12+ soft reset on the DVR and have TV access again.   Went out the previous night.

Still experiencing outage issue more than 18hrs later. Patience is beginning to wear as internet access is required for work. Maybe an invoice for lost working hours will be submitted to AT&T.

Still w/out TV working & have Internet so I can view the News & watch many channels on computer!  I/ve been w/o TV for 23 hrs & completed all the steps more than I ever did in 23 hrs, since I started using U Verse in 2006.

They are more interested in pushing their Fiber Optics w/Satellite Dish!!  I had their stupid dish, its still sitting 2 stories up on my roof!  Told them they can take it down since they installed it. I'm not going to drop it & either damage the unit, myself or my roof!!

Got rid of that system they sold due 2 outages & I wasn't going to stories up to clean off snow & ice or stand in a foot or 2 ft of snow w/roof rake.

They even showed up 2 mos ago wanting to install Fiber Optics w/out an appointment!!  U dont dig a trench in Nov/Dec in Northern Il, grass don't grow below 60 degrees & snow covered!! Stupid Is, Stupid does, but NOT On MY Watch or My Wallet!!

I am glad that AT&T is so consumer oriented it relies on forums like this to commuicate with us.

When you have a widespread outage, like Uverse TV the last several days, why not post it on your website instead of having your customers have to sift thru the web to find their answer, like DownDetector.  Then when you go to your website and ask it if you have an outage it comes back saying you don't have any outage when you do.  Thanks AT&T for always being there with us.

They do have a mechnism to report on outages (https://www.att.com/outages/) but it appears to be broken, having failed to report the outage for users with the outage.

And being ignorant of that, they failed to add a banner to the associated page for some time.

Keep in mind that it was a holiday and the paid staff who operate things like the announcement had the day off.

For a business that operates 24/7 and in fact has that statement “Available 24/7” on their website to show you are always available seems contrary to your statement — but good try.

Was it a paid holiday in China as well?  That seems to be where all customer service calls are routed....
