Was just getting ready to post about this.  Here is the link from the Houston paper:  http://blog.chron.com/sportsupdate/2014/10/judges-ruling-boosts-chances-of-attdirectv-network-for-astros-rockets/

If this goes thru, I wonder if we will see the return of Root Sports Pittsburgh, Northwest, and Rocky Mountain? If I remember correctly, those three channels were dropped because U-Verse does not have a presence in those areas.

i wondered the same thing...about them adding the other 3 root sports channels.....also maybe that is the reason they don't carry masn....no uverse presence in the baltimore/washington d.c. area....i think that is fios area

I can tell you that Roots Sports Pittsburgh does supply Pittsburgh Penguins games to Cleveland / Northeastern Ohio and Pittsburgh Pirates games to Columbus / Central Ohio.  So the removal of Root Sports Pittsburgh Ch. 1730 in 2012 was felt by some in Ohio.  It would be great if this channel gets added back to u-verse.

Emotional day as our very last @CSNHouston shows air 2nite. Such an amazing experience & group of people! Blessed to have been a part of it!

csn houston ceases operations tonight......a judge to make decision next week on whether uverse/directv will turn it into root sports houston

Since CSN Houston ceased operations last night, will this mean that the Rockets and the Astros will not have a television home if the judge rules against U-Verse/DirectTV turning the channel into Root Sports Houston? That is what that tweet sounds like.

Reading the link seems not to have an exact date, only supposition on something around that date. 😉

Channel IDs on DirecTV and U-verse will be RTSW, as in Root Sports (Southwest region).
