I do not believe the 1TB cap applies to U-verse tv customers.  This is a clear advantage att has over Comcast.

And, no worries. What I threw out there is surely low-tech and lo-fi. But I will use the setup regardless of whether or not U-verse.com is available for channels I watch.

Unfortunately even though AT&T calls it UNLIMITED it is limited to 1TB. The Uverse portal has a chart that shows me at over 770GB out of 1TB and about 5 more days to go in the cycle.

If you will peruse this very message board, you will find multiple posts with the same question.  Check them out.

Don't mess with old people.  The older we get, the less "Life in Prison" is a deterrent.

Thanks for the links to the alternative guides. Not as good as the U-Verse guide but better than nothing.

I've been using this for years. Worked great. Easy to use.

AT&T is a $200B company and Uverse is part of it's crown jewels.

But with all the PDd's on staff they just deleted this service.

Gone in a puff of smoke. No notice. Just gone.

At times it seems these companies are run by a bunch of lunatics.

I for one use TitanTV, which I think uses the same source as U-Verse does.

To set it up for U-Verse listings:

1.  Go to www.titantv.com

2.  Select the "+" right above the listings that first appear (there should be what looks like a red toolbox to the right of it)

3.  A window will pop up; click on "Digital Cable"

4.  Enter your ZIP code when the box appears

5.  One or more cable providers should now appear in the box; click the circle next to "AT&T U-Verse", then click the "Save" button.

6.  To change the date and/or time, click on the appropriate dropdown box in the grid.

This has an added feature: if you click on a channel number, it will switch to a grid that shows you what is on that channel for three days (and you can change the days; I think the limit is 10-12 days in advance).

There is one catch; as far as I know, you cannot restrict it to just the channels you watch.

For some unknown reason they have done away with this feature. Your best bet would be to purchase a Slingbox. I have been using one for years and it works great. Check it out.

Actually you can.  If you click the little red toolbox next to the plus at the top of the listings you can then create personalized "lineups" as they call it (you have to be registered of course but that's free).  I have three lineups:

  • My full U200 lineup with channels "hidden" to match my U200 Guide.
  • A lineup to match my Favorites.  And I have this as the default lineup to display when I go to TitanTV (see below).
  • A lineup for over-the-air channels to match what my antennas can pick up.

The only hassle/pain is configuring these lineups since you have to go down the list of channels "hiding" the ones you don't want.  It's just as bad as having to do that when you get a new receiver/dvr from att!  But once done you don't have to do it again except possibly the occasional minor edit to add or delete a channel.

Note with multiple lineups, to the left of the plus sign, there is a popup menu showing the default lineup.  Clicking that popup menu allows you to select among your other lineups.

Let me say first I’m not an authority.  But, I’m fairly certain U-verse + internet and/or wireless service entities you to unlimited internet data. Perhaps one the ACE folks can chime in and provide a link where this is explained.

Mine cerainly says unlimited, and I’m coming up on 2TB of data this month.  Since things are both given and taken away, it wouldn’t hurt to recheck. My source is the report in the myAT&T app.

See https://www.att.com/support/article/u-verse-high-speed-internet/KM1010099/
I have the 300, so I'm limited at 1TB. 1GB offering is unlimited, no cap

What are the data allowances?
AT&T Internet service data allowances include the following:

* 150 Gigabytes (GB) per month for customers with DSL service.
* 160 GB per month for customers with Fixed Wireless Internet service.
* 1 Terabyte (TB) per month for Internet speed tiers up to and including 768 Kilobits per second (Kbps) through 300 Megabits per second (Mbps).
* Unlimited home Internet data for the Internet 1000Mbps speed tier.

Just to clarify and add to that previous post, that article clearly states later:

Customers who subscribe to both services and pay for it on a single bill will receive unlimited home Internet data.

It also says DSL and Fixed Wireless Internet and not eligible for unlimited.

I can't find the URL or a link to find my uVerse channel guide. ATT seems to have hidden it.
