uverse tv app no longer available for download in amazon appstore after latest at&t update. When will you fix it?

That list above excludes your device.  Companies make decisions about what OS versions they'll support all the time.  Your stick is running Android 7.  Seven.  SEVEN.  Yes, I know you got it last year because someone bought it when AT&T dropped the price of the soon-to-be-obsoleted stick a month before they released its Gen 2.  AT&T cannot help that Amazon hasn't kept that old device up to date with the Android OS.  I'm glad I decided to go for the 4K Max when those deals came out, because it's several years newer.

If this is the case then the fault lies squarely on AT&T for their latest update not Amazon. As I had stated previously all major streaming apps like MAX, Prime Video, Disney, Paramount*, Peacock,  AppleTV, to name a few all work great on all my devices except this latest AT&T U-verse TV app release. It is a lazy decision to arbitrarily drop support for a whole class of devices that other top companies continue to successfully support. If this truly is the case then hopefully AT&T will be shamed into rethinking their decision about a majority of devices that other companies have willingly been able to continue to successfully support.   

My purchased TV packages has been U-Verse 450 for years. Are you saying that with that package I have access to DIRECTV Stream app?

I checked and DIRECTV app is available on the appstore for my device, but my package is U-Verse not DIRECTV.

I understand that you have U-verse TV.  However, several people have drawn parallels between this new app's interface and the DIRECTV Stream one, so I wondered if they had similar requirements.  They do not.  Yet.

You can barely have any long interaction with AT&T without being asked about migrating from U-verse TV to DIRECTV Stream.

My experience has been that the uverse app on my 4k firestick was working fine until AT&T's last update in March 2024. It started exiting back to the firestick home screen whenever I would make a selection. It was running OS 6.7 (the most recent for this firestick). I purchased the 4k max firestick (OS 8) as another user mentioned, downloaded the uverse app and now it's working fine. The interface is different but it works. Bottom line is that firesticks prior to Sep 2023 (any OS below 7) cannot run the current uverse app. I guess AT&T and Amazon decided it was time for all of us to upgrade to new firesticks :/

On another note, Amazon does allow you to trade your old firestick for a new one and will give you a few dollars for it. I also got 20 percent off and a $5 Amazon credit. 

All firestick devices stuck on version 2.2.3.0007 will not work

@IndySports if you have taken the time to read through this thread, you'll see that a new version of the app has been released.  The old App doesn't work with the servers any more and must be uninstalled or upgraded.  Unfortunately, the new App doesn't work on "older" models of FireTV hardware.  A list of the equipment supported has already been provided.  An arguments have already been made that AT&T should not have excluded older equipment and have been responded to.

Is there something else to be added to this conversation?
