watching a tv show or recording and the picture sudddenly freezes

we will be watching one of our tv's and the picture will suddenly freeze.

I am sorry to hear this is happening with your U-verse service. I would love to look into it!


Our Troubleshoot & Resolve Tool here is a great resource to see where the issue is stemming from. Please log in to your U-verse account and click TV drop down then the service you are having issues with and choose option TV Picture Issues this will have you go through a detailed and step by step option.


Also, is this happening is this a recent problem? Is this happening to all the channels or a specific one?

Hi, Linda,

Yes it is a recent problem (don't you keep a log of when and why people
call in?)
It does happen on all channels and on recordings.

It happened during a recording almost right after we spoke to the
technician last evening (after he guaranteed it would not happen again
because he reloaded the software on our box), but we were too exhausted (as
he kept asking the same questions over and over) to call.

@BarbyS, did you perhaps get that Private Message as an e-mail?  Or did you come back to the community forums and click on the envelope to read it?

The email is a NOTIFICATION that you have a Private Message on these forums.

 

Check the white envelope at the top right of this page to access the private message.  You should be able to respond to it.
