WDRB AND WBKI channel Dispute with Uverse

Channels WDRB and WBKI are no longer being shown here in Louisville, KY due to the contract dispute between Block Communications and ATT Uverse, therefore, I would like to know if Uverse customers will be given a refund/credit for this since we are STILL paying for those channels as part of our Uverse package??? This is incredibly unfair to customers so we should be compensated for this inconvenience.

This subject invariably comes up when there is a contract dispute.  As spelled out in of the Terms of Service

8. INTERRUPTIONS, LIMITATIONS, AND MODIFICATIONS TO SERVICE

Service may be temporarily interrupted or otherwise limited for a variety of reasons; some beyond the control of AT&T. AT&T reserves the right to refuse credit allowances for interruptions of Service. AT&T also reserves the right to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, at any time and from time to time, the Services (or any function or feature of the Services or any part thereof) without liability. You acknowledge that AT&T may establish general practices and limits concerning use of the Services, including without limitation, the limits set forth in the attached Schedule 1 and Schedule 2.

Schedule 2, Paragraph 4

Interruptions, Limitations, and Modifications to Service

Some programming may not be available in certain areas due to legal, regulatory, and contractual prohibitions, including restrictions of the Federal Communications Commission and sports blackouts.

Have you complained to Block Communications as well? As the source of the programming, that might also be useful.

I have no idea who Block Communications is. Never heard of them until I researched why I didn't have those channels on Uverse anymore. I pay my bill to ATT Uverse every month, therefore I asked my question to ATT.

You have no idea who Block Communcations is?  Then google search is your friend.  There's two sides to every dispute and I'm pretty sure it wasn't att's idea to take the channel off it's lineup.  So complain to the the party that forced it to be taken off.

It's threads like this that anger me when we end up with annual threads from people complaining their carrier rates have gone up and why, among other things, is there is an ever increasing "broadcast tv surcharge" line item on their bills.  The networks depend on enough users to complain to their carrier to cave in and agree to pay any amount a networks demands.   Eventually enough customers demand it's "their channel, they are paying for it, carrier is required to continue to carry it" (it's not, see post 2) and the carrier caves in.  I wish just once the carriers would stand their ground and not give in.  For the local channels at least, were possible, get a antenna and you can avoid this kind of aggravation when the locals try to annually extort the carriers. Ok first of all, you can KILL the nasty attitude. Secondly, I DID Google them, LIKE I SAID I pay my bill to AT&T Uverse NOT to "Block Communications" so I complained to who I should have. This conversation is DONE.
